WHAT’S GOT TO DO WITH IT?
We asked what you thought about “Change Your Words, Change Your Life.” Here’s what one woman said…
My personal lesson I learned from this book… “I work from home running my internet business. I realized that I complain about my kids being on vacation and how this disrupts my work schedule. I didn’t even realize I was doing this. So I have changed my thoughts

and my words and I now focus on being grateful for the opportunity to have them home. I am sure that they will appreciate me being more positive around them and they will remember happy times rather than their mom being irritable.” –CLARE, KENTUCKY
Blessed by Joyce’s Daughter! “I just wanted to say how blessed I was by Sandra McCollom’s recent article (“Let It Go” August 2012) discussing her struggle with perfection. Sometimes ministers’ children are included in materials but don’t seem to have their own voice. This ministry has truly saved my life from addiction, hopelessness and suicide. Sandra’s story was moving! She is so open about her own issues.
Susie “Obedience for me because it’s not easy loving someone that pushes you away. But I want to please my Lord, so I’m trying to obey” Neeti “It is action, and the action is serving.” Karia “Love is a commitment to care for others... seeking to meet the needs of others with passion and dignity. It’s not until you possess humility, gentleness, patience and the ability to bear with someone no matter how they behave, that you can truly love others” Join the conversation! STRAIGHT FROM THE
Heart
I
n many countries, February is when we celebrate Valentine’s Day…a day of love. This holiday focuses primarily on romance, with cards, flowers, candy, teddy bears and other gifts given and received. But many take the opportunity to express their love for other friends and family members as well. It’s simply a celebration of love.
A perfect example of this is when Jesus spoke peace to a raging storm while His disciples cowered in the boat. He could speak peace because peace was in Him. They could not because…well…they couldn’t give what they didn’t have.
BLACK
It’s like the many facets of a diamond. If you turn it different ways, you’ll see all kinds of colors and sparkles. In much the same way, love…is patient, kind, humble, not touchy or easily offended, and so on. Love is shown in many different ways. And by the power of the Holy Spirit, we can learn how to express whatever facet is needed for the moment.
CYAN
What do I mean by revelation? I mean having heart knowledge, not just head knowledge. There’s a big difference. Head knowledge doesn’t do us much good. You don’t really and truly know something until it’s in your heart. And when you know something in your heart, no one can ever take that away from you. What’s in your heart shows up in your life. You live it. So people who know in their heart they are loved by God can not only love themselves, but they are also able to truly love others. Another way to put it is, if you don’t have a revelation of God’s love for you, you can’t fully love others, because you just can’t give away something you don’t have.
how to truly love ourselves in a balanced way, leading to a loving relationship with Him. Out of that will flow a love for others that goes far deeper than just saying, “I love you.”
“ When you know something in your heart, ver no one can e ay take that aw from you.”
We need to saturate ourselves in the love of God…soak in it…bathe in it. Believe it…say it, “God loves me.” When we get that down in us, then what’s in us will show up in our lives.
Magenta
Sadly, many people don’t really know true love—that is, God’s love for them. I’m talking about a real revelation of His unwavering, unconditional love. This may be an underlying cause of many problems in relationships today. Quite honestly, many people just don’t like themselves, and it’s mainly due to the lack of a revelation that God, the Creator of the universe, is absolutely crazy about them.
Be God’s Valentine!

The dictionary defines a masterpiece as “a person’s greatest work of art,” or a “consummate example of skill or excellence.” Now, when God’s Word describes you as His masterpiece, what comes into your mind? Do you accept His assessment, or do you think, Well, He must be talking about someone else…if He really knew me, He wouldn’t think that!
WATCH MORE of what Joyce has to say about receiving your identity in Christ!
Your personal identity—how you see yourself—is often shaped by your early experiences in life. Maybe your parents said things to you as a child that made you doubt your worth. Maybe you were rejected or abused. If so, I can relate to what you have been through, because I experienced every kind of rejection and abuse as I was growing up. I was sexually, verbally, emotionally and physically abused by my father from the time I can remem-
ber until I finally left home at the age of 18. I then carried those emotional wounds into my first marriage to a man who also treated me badly and eventually left me. Even when I met and married Dave Meyer—a wonderful, loving man—I didn’t know how to give or receive love. I was controlling, manipulative, angry, critical, negative, overbearing and judgmental. All I had grown up with, I had become. My problems were deep inside me, caused by years of abuse, a wrong mindset and my wounded emotions. In Christ Alone — I was born again during those years. I loved Jesus. I believed my sins were forgiven and that I would go to heaven when I died. But I had no victory, no peace, no joy in my life. I felt condemned all the time. The only time I didn’t hate myself was when I was working toward some personal goal I thought would provide me a sense of self-worth. I was worn-out, burned-out, frustrated, and miserable. I had made the frustrating, tragic mistake of trying to find the kingdom of God, which is righteousness, peace and joy (see Romans 14:17), in things and other people. I didn’t realize the kingdom of God is within us, as the apostle Paul wrote in Colossians 1:27. My joy—and my identity—had to be found in Christ alone.

The Holy Spirit stopped me and asked, “What do you believe, Joyce, about your relationship with God? Do you believe He loves you? The Word says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV). But I had not yet taken hold of the “new creation reality. I was living out of my own mind, will and emotions, which were all damaged. Jesus had paid the price for my total deliverance, but I had no idea how to receive His gracious gift.
A lot of people still struggle in this area. That’s why I believe God put the topic of your identity in Christ on my heart as the theme for our 2013 Love Life Women’s Conference. If you have ever dealt with poor self-image or felt somehow God was mad at you, you won’t want to miss this conference. In the meantime, saturate your mind with the truth of God’s Word. It’s filled with reminders of His unconditional love for you. He says you are fearfully and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14). He says that nothing can separate you from His love (see Romans 8:35). Don’t let the enemy steal your identity. You are God’s masterpiece. Believe it!

We are supposed to be conscious and aware of God’s love and put faith in it. But I was unconscious and unaware of God’s love; therefore, I was not putting faith in His love for me. What a breakthrough! That was the beginning of my emotional healing. It has been a process, but today I can honestly say I am healed and content. I know in my heart that God loves me—and I also love myself.

But the Bible teaches that God loves us perfectly or unconditionally. His perfect love is not based on our perfection or anything except Himself (see 1 John 4:8). He always loves us, but often we don’t receive His love because of guilt about our wrong behavior.

A “Light Bulb Moment — One day as I was reading the Bible, I noticed this statement in 2 Corinthians 5:7: For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance. The Holy Spirit stopped me and asked, “What do you believe, Joyce, about your relationship with God? Do you believe He loves you? As I honestly began to search my heart and to study His Word on the subject, I concluded that I viewed His love as conditional.

Learning how to love people is the most important thing that a Christian should be concerned about. But there’s something we often overlook. You see, after we’re born again, we hear that we should be loving people. Yet, we don’t seem to be able to do it—and we think something’s wrong with us. Well, there are other phases of the love walk you have to go through before you can ever get around to loving people.
“
A lot of people try to get god to love them by trying to behave perfectly. but god is love and all he wants us to do is act as a receptacle of his love, and to simply take in what’s being freely offered.
”
Number one, you really need to have a revelation about how much God loves you. It’s not enough to know about the love of God. You need to receive God’s love through personal experience. Then you have to learn to love yourself. In other words, are you happy with the creation God made you to be? Or have you been trying to rework yourself into what you think the world wants to see?
BLACK
Third, you have to learn how to love God. And loving God means one thing: obedience. Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments” (John 14:15 NASB). After we’ve received His love, it just becomes natural to do what He tells us to do. Let’s take a closer look at each step so we can really learn how to live in the love of God.
1) Receiving Revelation About God’s Love I think a
Yellow
Magenta
CYAN
whole lot of people know how to sing, “Jesus loves me, this I know,” but they don’t know down deep in their heart that God loves them. So when everything is going good in their life, they may think God loves them. But when life gets hard, they begin to wonder where God is and if He ever loved them at all. We need to get God’s love from our head down to our heart; where it becomes revelation. Then it doesn’t
matter what the enemy tells us, what other people may say, or what our circumstances may be—we just know. And we know it so strongly that it can never be taken away from us. How does a person receive revelation knowledge? I believe we need to actually, physically take time in our life to meet with God and receive it. You know how a pig just wallows in the mud? They don’t care what they look like. They just go in there and get it all over them. Well, we need to spend time wallowing in the love of God. We need to soak in the love of God and get saturated in it. A lot of people try to get God to love them by trying to behave perfectly. But God is love and all He wants us to do is act as a receptacle of His love, and to simply take in what’s being freely offered.
2) Learning to Love Yourself in a Balanced Way Some people will do all kinds of things for everybody else, but they won’t do anything for themselves. And there’s something wrong with that. They have an unbalanced attitude toward themselves and they don’t really feel like they’re worth anything. We can have negative feelings about ourselves for a lot of different reasons. Maybe you grew up in a home where your parents would never buy you anything or they put you down. Maybe you were abused and you thought it was your fault. God’s love is the best medicine for the wounded soul. For those of you who have been abused or mistreated in life, God loves you. You may not understand why bad things happened to you, but God will cause all things— even bad things—to work out for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (see Romans 8:28).

astic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude]. How many times when God tells us what’s wrong with us do we shrink from Him instead of run to Him? Somehow we have this mistaken idea that God’s mad at us. But really, what He’s saying when He corrects us is that He loves us and He won’t ever leave us alone. For some of us, it takes a long time to understand that. But by revelation, we can really begin to know God’s heart. Instead of being wounded and hurt, we can actually offer God thanks for His faithful correction.
3) Loving God Means Loving People Jesus made an awesome statement. He said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples…” (John 13:34-35 NIV).
The world is hungry for love. Everywhere we look there are people who don’t know who they are in

Another part of becoming a well-rounded soul is learning how to receive correction from God.
For example, how many times a week do you think you hurt someone’s feelings? How often are you rude because you’re in a hurry? How many times has God forgiven you for the very same thing?

It’s vitally important that you learn to love who you are and do good things for yourself, because you deserve to feel special. You need that to be a healthy, well-rounded human being.
BLACK
The Bible plainly tells us what love looks like in 1 Corinthians 13. Love is patient, kind, humble, not rude or easily offended. That means if you’re walking in love, you’ve got to get over the, “Well, you hurt my feelings” thing. I encourage you to put these things into perspective.
Christ. Something went wrong in their life and they think there’s something wrong with them and God doesn’t love them. We can’t expect anyone to know they’re loved if they’re unable to see God’s love flowing through us. First Corinthians 13:1 says, If I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
The Bible tells us to love others with agape love: the unconditional love of God that motivates us to give of ourselves through sacrifice. It’s also the kind of love that leads you to overwhelming joy, satisfaction and contentment. But until we get through these steps, we won’t be able to love others the way God loves us. The fact is, we cannot give away something we don’t have. I encourage you to spend time learning these three steps to walking in love. Because when you learn how to put God’s love into action, flowing to your family and flowing to your neighbors and coworkers, you can make an incredible impact for Christ.

Finding the Path to the Greatest Life Possible
I used to have to hide teachings about obedience under a different title because people honestly get hung up on this word. But I decided I didn’t want to hide it anymore, because
obedience to God truly is the path to the greatest life possible. But it’s pointless for me to teach you to obey God more without teaching you how to love God more and to let Him love you. Because the only thing that is truly going to compel you to be obedient is your love for Christ.

o one should be satisfied with a mediocre, barely-get-along kind of life. God has a great plan for every single person, and I want to encourage you to go for the very best life He has for you. If you want to get to that life, the key is obedience to God and an understanding of His great love for you!
If you love God... John 14:15 says, If you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands. Notice Jesus didn’t say, “If you keep My commands,

I’ll love you.” He already loves you perfectly, and He could never love you more than He does at this very moment. Now, I’m not saying we can buy more of God’s love through our obedience, but our love for Him will grow as we live in obedience to Him and as we experience His faithfulness. I obey God much more now than I did thirty years ago, but I also love God and His Word much more than I did back then. I love Him for who He is…because He’s beautiful and amazing. And it’s because of that love for Him that I want to obey Him.
Are you living in obedience? Is there any area in your life where you are being disobedient? When I taught this at a conference once, almost every hand in the building went up when I asked that question.
Grow in God’s Love

I want to encourage you with the same advice I gave them. Just like a parent with a child, God is saying to each of us, “Why don’t you just do what I tell you to do? I’m telling you this for your own good.” The truth is, whatever God asks us to do, it’s for our benefit, so we need to take it seriously and submit to His direction. He’s not taking things away from us to be mean or giving us a long list of impossible rules. He’s teaching us what things are going to benefit us and what aren’t, because He wants us to live the very best life we can. He doesn’t want us to be bitter, hurt, resentful, and lost, which often come as a result of disobedience. He wants us to have righteousness, peace, love and joy.
How do you obey Him? First, make a commitment to obey His Word. In other words, anything you read in the Bible that tells you what to do or not to do—do that. If you don’t understand some of it, focus on the things you do understand first. Start with the clear instructions like, “Forgive your enemies; pray for those who hurt you.” And remember that even though the instructions are clear, you’re still going to have to be determined to do it. It may not be easy to forgive people that hurt you, but it’s actually a lot easier than being bitter and resentful your whole life. And remember that whatever God asks you to do, He will give you the ability to do it. Second, obey the prompting of the Holy Spirit for your life. God doesn’t lead every individual in the same way. The Bible applies to everyone, but the Bible doesn’t give every detail of everything we need to do. That’s why we also need to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit in our heart. My prayer is this teaching is an encouragement to you. No matter how many things you need to work on, give them to God one by one and let Him do the work in you. As you step out and become more determined to obey Him, He will help you do what needs to be done. And not only will you experience more peace and joy, but your love for God will grow and grow.

New Year, New You by JOYCE MEYER
I’m sure many of you have made New Year’s resolutions. It seems the number one resolution people often make is to lose weight and get fit. It’s true the Bible describes our bodies as temples that the Holy Spirit lives in, and God works best through us when we take care of ourselves. But too often we work from the outside in rather than the other way around. Healthy living has to do not only with our physical bodies, but our minds, emotions, spirits and souls.
EEL 0213 18-19 New Year New You V2P.indd 18
Obedience Is Key — Romans 7:6 says, But now we are discharged from the Law…having died to what once restrained and held us captive. So now we serve not under [obedience to] the old code of written regulations, but [under obedience to the promptings] of the Spirit in newness [of life] (AMP). God wants us to be healed and whole. Everything we’ve lost through sin, ignorance and lack of knowledge, Jesus comes to restore. But we have to cooperate with Him in that process. We do that by following Him with our whole hearts and making right choices based on His Word.

The Holy Spirit may convict you about behavior you need to change, but God doesn’t condemn you. He loves you and wants what is best for you.
Look to God, Not People — Maybe you are disillusioned because people have disappointed you and let you down in some way. I understand how hard that is, but the Bible tells us to put no confidence in the flesh. God may meet our needs through people, but we need to put our expectation in Him, not others. Jesus not only died for our sins, He also becomes to us everything
Start 2013 on the Right Foot!
Resolve to make right choices about your mental, spiritual and emotional health at the same time you are working toward a healthy physical lifestyle. Nothing good happens accidently. You have to choose right attitudes. I pray that God works miracles in every area of your life in 2013. Just remember: Whatever you need to do, God will give you the ability if you’ll just get into agreement with Him and let Him transform you from the inside out.

God came to give beauty instead of ashes. It’s a Divine exchange. Give up what you’ve got and He’ll give you what’s He’s got. Give up your ashes and He’ll give you beauty. Give up your mourning, and He’ll give you joy.

Some people feel guilty about everything. But that feeling comes from the enemy, not from God. Paul wrote, Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit (Romans 8:1). There’s a difference between condemnation and conviction. The Holy Spirit may convict you about behavior you need to change, but God doesn’t condemn you. He loves you and wants what is best for you. Accept His gift of grace and it will be easier to have the life He wants you to have.
Make Peace with What You Can’t Change — Come to terms with what you see as your “flaws.” Love yourself as God loves and accepts you, flaws and all. Release the mistakes of your past. You can’t go back and undo what’s been done, but you can forgive and be determined not to let the past control your future. Let your pain be someone else’s gain. Throw your life wide open to God and say, “Tie me to the altar if You have to, but do what You want to in my life!”

Do You Have Healthy Emotions? — Maybe you have all kinds of insecurities. One of the most painful things in life is to feel really bad about yourself. But Jesus didn’t die for you so you could walk around being miserable. He said, …I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (John 10:10). He wants you to enjoy the journey.

Do You Have a Healthy Mind? — It’s impossible to have a healthy life if you have an unhealthy mind. The Bible says as a man thinks, so he becomes (see Proverbs 23:7). If we want to have good mental health, we have to stay away from worry and anxiety. Proverbs 3:5 says, Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding (AMP). Make up your mind not to live worried and afraid. Stop trying to figure everything out and ask God to give you peace with what you don’t understand.

was born a people pleaser. I came out of the womb pleasing. My mom tells a story about when I was 18 months old and had several styes in one of my eyes. She took me to the doctor and he had to use a needle to pop them, one by one. Not only did I not cry, I smiled. It’s a very weird indication from early on that I intuitively knew I needed to be happy for everyone. All “negative” emotions needed to stay suppressed.

The key to being who God created us to be is receiving, not doing and earning. That’s what I hope to share with the women I minister to now. If we can find the courage to tear down the walls we’ve built around our hearts, not only will we be able to receive God’s healing love for ourselves, we will finally be free to share His love with others. And isn’t that what it’s really all about?

When I was four years old, I was in this nursery rhyme reciting class. At the grand finale, after I recited my rhyme, everyone erupted in applause. I caught my dad’s eye in the back of the room and he was smiling…and I thought, Oh my goodness! I think he likes me. As a four-year-old it all made sense: to get the love and acceptance I wanted, I just needed to perform— and not just do what’s expected of me, but more than what’s expected, and do it really big and with a smile.
Now, I am able to feel angry, afraid, sad—and know that God created me as human, with all my emotions. I know if I’m going to have an intimate relationship with Him rather than just be a robot, I need to feel what I feel. God’s love for me is based on who I am, not who I think I should be. And if He can love me, then I can love myself.

I experienced a connection with my mom as long as I did what was expected of me. However, with my dad, it wasn’t possible. Having lost his father as a young boy, he had cut off his emotions at an early age. But as a little girl I thought, If I twirl enough, am pretty enough, sweet enough and good enough, maybe he will notice me.
I accepted Christ at the age of 10, and for many years my need to be perfect also spilled over into my relationship with Him. I didn’t want to disappoint Him, so I would deny emotions that I thought a good Christian shouldn’t feel. I didn’t know I could invite Him into my dark places— the places I had sealed off. Eventually, I came to a point where I made a mistake that I couldn’t get on top of. I either had to cut away from God so He wouldn’t see—or let Him in. That’s when I chose to be all that I am in front of Him and then receive and believe His love. Amazingly, He didn’t go away or disconnect from me! In fact He drew even closer, and it finally set me free.

I was always strongly encouraged to be and do my best. So it became my number one goal to be the perfect child. I adored my mother and wanted her approval and pleasure. Having that connection was the most important thing. It was terrifying to be at odds or lose that strong connection, so I worked very hard to stay on that narrow road of perfection.
When I was 16, I got the part of Blair on the television show “The Facts of Life.” The character of Blair thought she was a princess and God’s gift to the world. She was nothing like me, but ironically, she was really easy to play. Blair was so confident, and there was a part of me that wanted to be more like her. But I would never allow myself to be like her in real life.

I first saw them on the drive to Angacha, Ethiopia—small children cheering, running and kicking. Tiny beads of sweat trickled down their brows as they waited for their friend to cross the road and grab their soccer ball. A swift kick across the street, and they were at it again. But this wasn’t your typical soccer ball. Wadded trash bags, paper towels and an assortment of other materials were bunched up and secured with rope into a lopsided ball. They didn’t care it wasn’t perfect. It was still a ball, and the gas station next to that busy road in Ethiopia was their field. Like so many other children around the world, these kids are in love with the world’s most popular sport. Sadly, that’s not all they have in common— many don’t have enough food to eat. But in places like Ethiopia and Madagascar, you are showing God’s love through vital feeding programs and even something as simple as a new soccer ball.

Daniel Meyer, Chief Executive Officer of Joyce Meyer Ministries, had a blast playing soccer with the kids at our feeding program in Ambrohitrimanjaha, Madagascar. In between kicks, he couldn’t help but wonder why these children had so much joy despite
their circumstances. Their families couldn’t afford to feed them and, like the ones in Ethiopia, their only toys were nothing more than plastic sacks and rope. “I saw more joy in their faces than you’d expect. they are still in really bad situations, but they are happy,” shared Daniel. “I started thinking about my kids who have ten different toys to play with before 10 a.m. It was unreal how happy these kids were to play with a plastic ball that was homemade.” During the trip, Daniel was able to purchase a few real soccer balls for the kids. As soon as he tossed a ball out, the children piled on one another, vying for a chance to play with it first. After a young boy with a red cap came up the victor, they were right back to playing the sport they love so much. The brand new soccer ball gave the children added joy, but that day they also received a healthy meal—something they simply wouldn’t have if it weren’t for this program. Simple acts like these are the epitome of sharing Christ’s love with others. And it’s something you’re helping make possible for so many little ones around the world. t was a beautiful, sunny day in London when we arrived, and a new adventure for me, a small-town Nebraska native. Along with the excitement of being in a country I’d never visited before, the city was also abuzz with the anticipation of the 2012 Summer Olympics, which were just a week away.

Who are the forgotten? Like people in many parts of the world, they are, in reality, people like us, who have found themselves homeless due to a variety of disadvantages or the consequences of unfortunate choices. They are teenage runaways, trying to escape poverty or a dysfunctional family they can’t endure. They are immigrants, many from Eastern Europe, who came here expecting better opportunities to make a living and support their families back home but they didn’t succeed. They are the mentally ill, the addict, and the abused. They are former military, who once fought for the very country that no longer recognizes them as heroes and instead considers them outcasts. They were the reason we were here.
streets in vans, luring their victims to them and driving away, the Greenlight van was not always considered a place of safety and help. Also, when a homeless person on the street finds a territory to call their own, they are hesitant to leave it to visit the van and risk losing it. So initially, the opportunities to reach people in need were hard to come by. But as they established relationships with people in the community who provide services for the homeless, such as soup kitchens, food pantries and shelters, the Greenlight staff has been able to gain a positive reputation and develop trust with those who need their help.

Ruth, the lead nurse on the van, said, “When we see a need, we are able to step up and meet the need, thanks to our partners. We are a tool for God to bring them hope. We know this outreach has saved lives both physically and spiritually.” She went on to share that the most common reaction from the people they treat is excitement and amazement that someone really cares for them, as well as their appreciation for the excellent treatment they receive.

The heart of this outreach is to Our destination was Greenlight, a mobile medical outreach for the homeless supported by Joyce Meyer Ministries and operated by Hillsong Church London. The concept is simple: a medical van run by trained medical volunteers that serve people on the streets of London, offering free medical care, genuine concern and encouraging support. The delivery is powerful: the love of God shown in tangible ways that often lead to the lost being found as they hear the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s an effective approach that helps people move forward in their lives, like the name Greenlight suggests. While the need is obvious and the concept simple, making this outreach happen wasn’t easy. They also provide blood sugar checks. And those who have needs beyond the level of care Greenlight can offer are referred to a doctor who will see them, in spite of the fact that they don’t meet the required criteria to receive care available through the social healthcare system. Malcolm visits Greenlight every week to get his blood sugar level checked. But he also gets kindness and encouragement that has improved his quality of life. “They are a friendly bunch. Dedicated volunteers like Ruth are not only using their medical training but also going beyond providing physical aid and offering emotional and spiritual support. They want to actually connect with the people they are serving and really show them the love of God. And through this simple yet powerful medical outreach, they’re doing just that and God is extending His love to the homeless in London. Thank you, partners, for making it possible to get Greenlight on the streets, sharing Jesus, developing relationships, and helping to restore hope. MADE PERSONAL
Loving God, Loving Yourself, Loving Others
If we don’t have a revelation of God’s love for us personally, we will never truly love ourselves, and neither can we really and truly love others. Let’s explore the cycle of love. 1. Replace the word Love in 1 Cor. 13 with God or Father. Ask Him for a revelation of this scripture. Now describe in your own words how God feels about you.
2. In light of that passage, do you feel loved? How do you feel about yourself, knowing God loves you this way? How can you show yourself love in a healthy way?
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. –1 John 4:8

3. How does your revelation of God’s love for you influence your love for others? Can you be obedient to John 13:34? Can you love others the way 1 Corinthians 13 describes?
…As I have loved you, so you must love one another. –John 13:34

OUR FRIENDS
Pulling Back the Curtain Exposing the Illusions and Tactics of the Enemy
We are constantly deciding if what our mind is telling us is a lie or if it’s true. When you are lied to (and we’ve all been there), it’s usually painful, frustrating and can even be downright damaging.
You need to realize that, because of what Jesus did when He gave His life on the cross and rose again, the enemy no longer has the legal power or authority over you to do this. That’s why he resorts to deception…lies.
First Peter 5:8 tells us the devil is like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour, and John 10:10 says he wants only to steal, kill and destroy.
I want you to know you don’t have to live with the lies of the enemy any longer. Jesus promised you in John 8:32: You will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. Truth is the key to freedom. And as you learn what is true, you have the power to reject the lie. Your freedom comes from dismissing one and embracing the other.
Magenta
Lies can wound friendships, business relationships, and marriages. And the lies of our enemy, Satan, can wound our spirit and ultimately keep us from receiving all God has for us.

Simply put, the goal of the enemy is to ruin your life, steal your joy, and separate you from God.

Five Lies DVD by Joyce Meyer

We discovered something that was very interesting about these lies. Even though every person is different and every story is unique, the lies are common in these five areas: emotional healing, relationships, finances/money, healthy living, and addictive behavior. This tells me that you are likely being targeted— time and time again—in the deepest and most personal areas of your life.
Jesus came to put an end to the lies of the devil. He not only told us the truth; He is the Truth. He said it this way: I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me. (John 14:6) There is power in truth...because there is power in Jesus! You are not called to live in the darkness of lies and the deceptive bondage they create. The light of the Word of God illuminates your life! It’s no wonder one of the most common miracles in the Gospels is the opening of blind eyes. Jesus was deliberate about casting out spiritual and physical darkness. He wanted people to see. He wants you to see too. He wants you to see who He really is and His plan for your life. He wants you to know His thoughts toward you. He wants you to see the truth, recognize it and use it! Dave and I pray that God will expose every single lie—big or little—the enemy has been speaking to you…and that He’ll help you recognize His truth in every situation. Because when we see the Truth, then we begin to walk in victory, joy and the incredible freedom He has for each one of us.
Your Friends, These lies are meant to wound your spirit, destroy your life and damage your relationship with God. I have found so many times that we, as Christians, have believed a certain way just because it’s what we were told. And sometimes the things we have been told are not really true—they are actually lies we believe about ourselves, other people or even God.
