architecture portfolio nadhifa sarah khairunnisa 2018 - 2020

Throughout my study in college, Architecture has shaped me a lot, especially the way I see any kind of matters. Architecture is a figure of a discipline that I am interested in, because it is a form of creativity based on art and science. I believe that architecture is a discipline that will not work independently, however collaborative-approach is needed to make it work like a symphony where this discipline is flexible and may be influenced by other disciplines. So that in each work, I took time to study other fields, which can be part of the planning and self-learning process. The are still many things I want to learn in the field of There architecture to get into a deeper understanding and learn many other things that can be a part of me without thinking about my limit and to contribute to other expertise.

The idea of a shelter is to provide a safe zone for children after a traumatic event has occurred. so that the shelter is expected to pay attention to the psychology of children with trauma and the need for children to express themselves which can be filled with various play and learning activities. Then, how about a planned and physical form of a children's shelter that takes care of these needs?

On December 2018, two big waves of tsunami occured in Sunda Strait. It followed by an eruption and partial collapse of Anak Krakatau and massively damaged two areas near it, Banten in Java and Lampung in Sumatra, Indonesia. To be more particular, Pandeglang (Banten) got the most damage out of them all, as well as the victim. A village was virtually wiped out by the tsunami and 7 other villages in Pandeglang were also heavily affected.

Dusun 1, located at Desa Tanjung Jaya, Pandeglang, Banten was one of the neighbourhood that not get affected by the tsunami. The village located quite far from the coast (about 1 km) and has quite of raised-ground.

Mass-reduction on the center part is applied to give an open area for the kids to enjoy outdoor activities.

To give more playful impression, the module has one lowered pole on one of the side.

Circular linear formartion are done in such a way that, the circular area (red line) that made because of the module formation would provided an open area for the kids to play in a safe zone, not hampered by the natural environement that once give them such trauma. But, an alternative entrance and exit (white line) does exist, if another disaster event would happen.

hospital Circulation planning and zoning space are the two main things in good hospital planning, where the two are interconnected to achieve maximum efficiency, so it is hoped that the space can function both for medical staff and patients. On the other hand, it also requires good physical planning to create sense of comfort, especially for psychological patients who will help the patient's recovery.

But what is a hospital planning with a psychological approach?

other works as my experience to work as an internship student at PT Airmas Asri, I was involved in three stages of the design process, they are proposal design, schematic design and design development. At every stage of the design process, I was involved in various architecture projects, in each project I was asked to develop an existing designs, perfecting the 3D models, making alternative minor designs especially on building elements, and being involved in making presentations on a minor-scale. These projects include apartment towers, mixed-use building and residential.
