The exhibit is a form of edutainment that involves projection mapping where one learns about Singapore’s water supply through the custom floor-to-wall projection on the nation’s map. Visitors can use the kiosk to interact and control the projected visual on the wall. The kiosk contains videos, information and images.
The exhibit is a form of edutainment that focuses more on learning through playing the interactive game. It gets the user to participate and engage as well as play together with the other players. Every game kiosk shows the same screen that is projected on the wall that helps user to interact with the others and learn together.
The exhibit involves visitors to sit on the yellow ‘raft’ which moves about in its place as a form of river expedition that will steer them down to Marina Barrage. It gives user an opportunity to experience like they are drifting through the river towards Marina Barrage with the help of the moving ‘raft’ installation and the projected screen of the place. A simple user experience.
The installation is called My Water Pledge where it is a form of photobooth for visitors to snap a selfie with NEWater backgrounds and choose a water pledge that will then be posted onto the projected screen along with other users’ pledges. The user experience are simple (snap a photo, post and share) and control where user can pick the type of pledge and backgrounds that suit their own preference.

NEWATER VISITOR CENTRE 3 improvements to be made in the exhibition venue Glass tiles that are transparent enough for visitors to see the running water below them
Words / Facts engraved onto the tile and can be seen easily especially with the lights lighted up when sensed a person standing on the tile
WITH IMPROVEMENT
Lights underneath glass tile that has sensor to detect if a pair of feet is standing on the tile so it will light up
Middle of the area: “Walking on NEWater” engraved onto the tile
Currently, this area of the room has glass tiles with running water flowing underneath it along with colorful lights changing at different interval.
#1 : Walking on NEWater • Currently, the glass tiles only allow visitors to be filled with amazement from the flowing water below them and the presence of colorful lights accompanying the water serves as a purpose to light up the glass tiles so that visitors are able to see the flowing NEWater • Although there might be some cool technology involved in the installation, an improvement can be made to enhance the user experience and interactivity as well as leave the visitor some knowledge on NEWater • Since the “Walking on NEWater” words are engraved onto the tiles, engraving a short fun fact related to NEWater on each tile is possible which can serve as a useful knowledge to the visitor • With that, visitors can enjoy the amazing view below them as well as pick up a few fun facts on NEWater as they walk on the tiles. Thus, encouraging them to interact with the glass tiles as they try to find out all the fun facts on every tile • To further enhance the user experience, each tile can be lit up with different colors as user steps on it so that visitors can have fun walking on every tile. Sensors can be designed within the tile or on the ceiling to detect the user’s movement • All in all, put the ‘Fun’ together with the ‘Facts’ so that Walking on NEWater can give visitors the best user experience

WITH IMPROVEMENT
1
Water Pavillion consists of tubes with an image projected along with information on the amount of water used in the specific item. The image can be viewed in each of the tubes through the peep hole.
A set of three moving images. Look through the hole to see a short animation of water evaporates from the sea and then falls down as rain.

#2 : Water Pavillion in Waterwise Arcade • Currently, visitors are only able to see an image projected in each of the tube’s hole with a short information on the image • The installation involves screen projection in some of the tubes while the rest have none. The exhibit is not use to the fullest and a still image can bore user quite easily. Hence, an improvement can be made to enhance the user experience • The installation can input projection of moving images so that users can see a short animation of the image along with a NEWater fact on it (e.g moving images of waves in the ocean) • To further enhance the user experience, audio can be installed so that when visitors look into the hole, a sound will accompany the image (e.g the sound of crashing waves onto the rocks) • All in all, the Water Pavillion in Waterwise Arcade can give visitors the best user experience through edutainment
NEWATER VISITOR CENTRE 3 improvements to be made in the exhibition venue Glass mirror on the ceiling
Background water flowing down when triggered through code word “NEWater” and to give off the feel or surroundings of when one is in a sewerage tunnel
Shout “NEWater” WITH IMPROVEMENT
Voice detector device ; to detect shouting and the word “NEWater” so it can trigger the background waterfall and give the water flowing sound effect that will be echoed around
Shout “NEWater” and hear echoes of your voice
This area is part of a sewage tunnel near Waterwise Arcade where one is to shout “NEWater” and they can hear echoes of their voice. Glass mirrors are used for the ceiling and the floor
#3 : Deep Tunnel Sewerage System • Currently, the visitors can only interact with the sewage tunnel through shouting and hearing. (Shout “NEWater” and hear your voice echoes) • Although it can be a good user experience from engaging user to do an action (shout) and also use their hearing sense (hear echoes from the water surrounding the sewage), the exhibit can be enhanced through technology by installing a voice detector and a waterfall system flowing in the background • By using a voice detector, it can help to trigger the waterfall system where one will shout “NEWater” and the sensor will detect the voice and the word “NEWater” so that it can trigger the background waterfall to flow down to produce the sound of water in the sewage • With that, visitors can interact better with the technology installation in the sewage tunnel, thus, enjoy participating in it with the flowing waterfall in the background • All in all, the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System can give visitors the best user experience with the interactive installation that allows them to feel and experience like they are in a sewerage environment
