Box : User should stand to begin
Home screen to the interactive game, Water On The Loose. An instruction is given to the user if he/she decides to play, stand on the box indicated on the floor to begin.
The installation will start off with a short visual scenario of 3 taps facing water leakage.
Wally, the mascot will guide user through the game. This screen informs the problem from the scenario and invite user to help out in conserving the water from water leakage.
User will motion their hands as a mouse that looks like a loading gif, to click on the buttons. To click, user will need to stay on the button for a few seconds till it loads to the next screen.
When the time runs out, the pail will show the water level and in this case, it’s full.
Start of the game. User can move left or right to control the pail movement and collect the falling water droplets. Icons at the side are: Timer from 60s, an empty pail that will show the level of water and the Wally counter.
Results screen after time runs out. Since, user fulfill the goal and also managed to collect 2 Wally, 2 bonus features unlocked = 2 fun facts.
Loading screen before the game begins. Wally with a tooltip, “Remember! Each Drop Counts.”
Instructions to the game are stated on the screen. User will need to control the pail using their body motion to collect the water droplets till it fills up to the brim. Collect 15 Wally for bonus feature, 15 fun facts.
Bonus features screen that has up to 15 fun facts to read about. For this user, 2 fun facts are being made available to read. User can pick up 1 or 2 knowledge on NEWater. Click and load the poster to read in a larger version. Able to scroll left or right to view others.

RATIONALE This installation is called Water On The Loose. It is a form of edutainment through a mini interactive game. The user experience are about simple, control and psychology. Water On The Loose is simple in terms of how straightforward the game is with just one goal in mind - collect the water droplets from the leaking tap to fill up the pail. Water On The Loose also gives the user the power to control the game where they use their body motion to move the pail left or right in order to collect the water droplets. The end results also depend on how good the user control the pail of water. A little bit of psychology can be found in the game as water leakage from tap do happen at least once in our daily life. User might have experienced this scenario and the game can teach them a life tip on how to handle the leakage problem - put a pail below the tap to collect the leaking water and ensure every drop is not wasted.
Installation layout
INTERACTION MODE Water On The Loose involves a kinect device that requires the user to use leap motion. User will have to stand in front of the screen and step into the box indicated on the floor to begin. A sensor can be placed within the box indication to detect a person standing on it. The game starts off with a scenario of three taps having a leakage problem and water is dripping down. NEWater teaches consumers to use water wisely. In this scenario, user will need to help conserve the leaking tap water by filling up the pail. The water collected in the pail can be put to many good use like watering the plants and many more. Instructions to the game will be given - collect all the water droplets into the pail and try to fill it up to the brim within 60 seconds. The movement of the pail depends on the user’s body movement through the help of the kinect device. User can move about or interact (run or walk left and right) within the screen’s length to control the pail and collect the water droplets. Among the falling water droplets, collecting a Wally gives a bonus where a fun fact will be unlocked. A total of 15 Wally to be collected which equals to 15 fun facts unlocked. When the game ends, user can view their score judging from the water level in the pail and the number of droplets collected. If user collected a Wally, he/she is able to view and read the fun fact. Otherwise, the game ends there. All in all, user needs to remember that “Every Drop Counts.” In conclusion, Water On The Loose is an interactive game that serves as an entertainment as well as an education that leaves the user a few knowledge on NEWater fun facts.
