ABCC CEM CC appeals for holding ‘common platforms’

DIMAPUR: Angami Baptist Church Council, Clean Election Movement Core Committee (ABCC CEM CC) appeal to the leaders and elders of every village council to organise “Common Platforms” for the intending candidates.

DIMAPUR: The Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM) has organized a joint prayer fellowship for the candidates of the Chakhesang community on February 9 with the intention of seeking God’s blessings and for God to raise His choice of leadership at the Pioneers’ Complex, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC), T. Chikri, Pfütsero.

In a press release, CCEM through its media cell informed that Executive Secretary CBCC, Rev. Dr. Chekroveyi Cho-o, while sharing from the word of God stated, “If we lose our identity and integrity as Christians, our professions without Christ will only lead us to sin more! Therefore, we must abide by the teachings of

Jesus Christ and take our professions as our callings. Then only we can make a difference.”

Chairman, Chakhesang Clean Election Movement, Rev. Vezopa Rhakho, who presided over the programme, apprised the gathering of the CCEM activities. He shared that leaders who are elected through clean, fair and just means are honourable in the sight of God and man. He urged the leaders to be loyal to the people and to be defenders of the faith.

President Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO), Vezühü Keyho, who spoke on behalf of the CPO, urged the candidates to play a friendly match without criticizing each other and also for the candidates to respect the decisions of the apex body and extend their full cooperation for the good cause of their community, and to uphold the clean election principles. He further quoted John F. Kennedy’s words, “Ask not what your country can do for you –ask what you can do for your country.”

In his welcome address, president, CBCC, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, reminded the leaders man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart and wished that the pure in heart win. “At the end of the election, remember you are not going to be enemies but friends and counterparts in shaping our society,”he stated.

Executive Secretary, Chakhesang Christian Revival Church Council (CCRCC), Rev. David Koza, read a passage from the Bible and prayed for the programme. Leaders of various church denominations prayed the “Prayer of Blessings” over the candidates and the benediction was pronounced by former Executive Secretary of CBCC, Rev. Khrotso Mero.

The candidates appreciated the initiative of the CCEM in organizing the joint prayer fellowship and committed themselves to abide by the NBCC’s Clean Election guidelines. They also encouraged the CCEM with the hope that as the movement gains momentum, it will bring about the desired change in the society.

& Training (SCERT), Nagaland has informed all the concerned Nagaland-Teacher Eligibility Test (N-TET) qualified candidates of 2013 and 2016 who have surrendered their N-TET certificate for re-validation that SCERT will be issuing revalidated N-TET certificate (with lifetime validity) w.e.f. February 14, 2023 to March 10, 2023 at SCERT office from 10 am to 3:30 pm The candidates have been asked to bring their original admit card/ HSLC admit card. An amount of Rs. 200/- will be collected for the new certificate.
