15 houses gutted by fire at Sachu Colony, Dimapur

DIMAPUR, FEB 16 (NPN):
Fifteen houses were completely devastated in a major fire incident that occurred at Sachu Colony, Dimapur on Thursday morning at around 10 am.

Officials informed that 15 houses were completely destroyed while one house was partially damaged in the incident, however, no casualties were reported.
Officials informed that six fire tenders were pressed into action from the Central, Western and ers, road development, health sector, repealing AFSPA and the Indo-Naga political issue in its ‘Focus 2023’.

Chumoukedima fire stations. The fire had rendered around 40 families comprising of around 80 people without shelter. Investigation was on to ascertain the cause of the incident.
Meanwhile, Moatoshi Longkumer MLA of Dimapur-II including Vikheho LJP candidate rushed to the site and also provided cash and rations to the affected victims. Several other organisations have also pledged relief items including food.
Lotha said JDU has committed to take up infrastructural development of all government educational institutions with special scholarships and insurance schemes. The party also committed to work on rural development, youth and employment. It also focussed to suppress the influx of foreigners and improve health care facilities.
