Our Best Teaching Memories

I think we teachers are lucky. With every class we live a new experience full of human warmth, energy and feelings. I have many beautiful memories of teaching with my students. For example, the day when my students surprised me when I entered the classroom with a party to express their love for me as a Teacher and as a Person. My students organized everything, even the cake on which they wrote my name and beautiful words of love. During my teaching experience I have lived many moments with my students full of intense, precious and unforgettable feelings. For this I feel lucky. Teaching for me is a great pleasure. Najoua Slatnia

When I started teaching, I used to be very nervous. One day I entered the classroom and my students were already waiting for me. The stood up and said in a choir "Good morning Mrs. Moser, best teacher in the world!". I was overwhelmed with joy. Christine Moser

Best moments are when results of hard work are visible.. I had one last year in October when our eTwinning project was chosen to be on dispaly in the Minisitry of Education of Georgia and got very very good feedback . so nice moment Nino Tamarashvili

I work at school for about 18 years. Different situations happened with me. When I moved to the city and changed the school I got magic pill then)) I met new friends there and they are my best ones now. We work as a team in our gymnasium. Tatiana Ustimova

On Mother’s Day, a student was crying when she asked, she told that her mother had passed away, so I said to her: I am your mother, and from her day she calls my mother, not my teacher. Suha Ababneh

I am very glad that I have chosen the profession of teacher. I really love kids and spending time with them. Everyone of them give me a new experience full of educational, happy, life, different memories. I tnink the best moments are when we have good results of our hard but interesting work. When you are going to study children and you know that they are waiting for you!!! Alla Kosolap

Dear eTwinners, I have very fond of memories of my professional career. I remember, for rxample, with a lot of nostalgia, the day when I gave a pilot lesson on the integration of TICE in my teaching at the presence of the Director, the Inspector, parents and colleagues. That day, I was able to measure all their attachment to me by competing in ingenuity and application to take the event a success and make me happier than ever! Samia Jbara

Thirty-five years in teaching have passed, and they were full of successes and beautiful memories. I even studied with my students and taught their children. Whenever I went to an institution, I only found one of my students. Hssan Touaibi

I feel very good as a teacher. I really like children and I spend time with them a lot and outside of school hours. With them I feel safer, I charge my batteries with positive energy. For them I always learn to give them knowledge in the most attractive, creative, innovative format. I look forward to returning to class to communicate offline with my students. Veronica Rotari

I studied a student, graduated, and became a visitor. She came with me on a visit, inspected me and stayed with the students. I asked her to stay on, my office, so her answer would be that I would remain a student for you if you hadn't reached this position. Hssan Touaibi

Siranush Sahakyan

I am very happy to be a teacher. I always feel that what I do with the students is a mission of life, is a duty despite the difficulties sometimes. I lived unforgettable moments with my students who show their gratitude and their love. I received moving letters, touching cards, gifts full of warmth ... I met old students who remember me, I saw in their eyes a lightning bolt and on their faces a big smile of happiness, it's really touching to remain unforgettable and etched in our memories. Proud to be a teacher and I will continue my mission until the last moment. Sarra Stiti

Being a teacher is not a profession it's a lifestyle. You must be a child, think as a child. I work at school about 15 years, and so have a lot of memories...But never forget the day when my little ones met me at the door with handmade cards and flowers in their hands... Their happy eyes and my tears... Aghca Kazimova

Well, let me start with a quote "The word "teacher" may come from the verb "to teach" - but that's exactly what good teachers don't do. Think about it. You have no difficulty speaking English. You are not there, in the classroom, to improve your English. In fact you're almost incidental in the classroom. The only reason you're there is that your students need to *learn* English. It's a strange situation. Perhaps they don't realize this. But you can. And when you see this situation for what it is, you can adopt a different attitude, one of helping, advising, encouraging - one of drawing out from the student what is actually there already. Your students already speak English. They just don't realize it!" I have a lot of beautiful memories in my almost 30 year-long experience. But the best feedback in the classroom is when my students tell me that I am always positive, optimistic and understanding. When I read my students' posts/reports saying that they will remember me as a teacher who has supported them, encouraged them and whose lessons have been "different" and allowed them to gain skills and competences for life I kinda feel that my attitude to teaching is okay. I've been a teacher for 27 years and there have been so many memorable moments that it's hard to remember everyone, let alone elect one. Being a teacher is a demanding mission, but very rewarding. Of course, the moments of public recognition, from our colleagues, parents or the Board are very important and give us encouragement. But nothing compares to a smile and the brightness in the eyes of our students when they have good results, they can achieve their goals, when they learn something new or so simply when we help them overcome their difficulties! Being a teacher is wonderful! Cláudia Sousa

At the beginning of my career in the educational process, I studied in a school far from me and I was happy. The people treated me with love and respect. I will not forget a student who was bullying in school and was always resorting to who always telling her problems who left school and still communicating with me always and she said oh my teacher you were a turning point in my life Positive I will not forget you, this feeling is indescribable to the teacher being a source of safety for his students. ENSSAF ALEWIDATALN'AN'AH

I have been teaching for 17 years at Aqaba comprehensive school for girls ....and the most beautiful memories about my career that wherever I entered hospital or pharmacy or any situations I met one of my lovely students and they welcomed me and helped me so much , I feel so proud that I am a teacher . Hanan Al Hiewat

Our curriculum is full of good times with our students but the class that marked me the most is the 3 letters 2018 there they them their bac last year and I continue to receive message of thanks until today Jihen Damerji

I teach 19 years of children with Autism. These children are still teaching me, as everyone is different and requires a different approach. Every moment with them is unrepeatable and an experience. I love my job. Michaela Rumanková

I have always enjoyed being around children and believe that I am an enthusiastic and caring person. I also feel that I am patient and have the ability to explain things well, which is why I feel that being a lower secondary school teacher is the perfect career for me. I think that what I love most about children is their imagination and they say exactly what they think and working with them genuinely makes me smile and is something that I want to do for the rest of my life Manel Boualia 8

Dear colleagues, it's so nice to read so many and enthusiastic moments of our profession! Every new schoolyear brings unique moments of joy, laughter, communication, collaboration and so many emotions. I feel really blessed that I can do something I enjoy so much. A top experience which I always rember with deep emotions is when we took part in a competition of theatrical performance and right before our turn came, everybody, who till that moment seemed cool and ready, started crying, feeling sick, nervous, frightened and they all, 24 students, came around me and fell in my arms, making me promise that they can do it and that I will stand by them. We had that huge hug one another and I felt so rich, so full!!! It was like all our energy and power added at once! After that moment we had an excellent appearance and a big surprise party for their teacher, me, at the end. But that hug changed our relationship and I had one of the best schoolyears of my carrier. Love, acceptance and willingness to support, always come back multiple times! Many experiences like this came along since then and thank you for activating memory to bring up so many positive feelings about teaching and our students!!! Vissaria Lialiou

In my twenty year experiance there have been lots of interesting and morable memories and being away from our students in these difficult times has only made me value and appreciate and love what I do even more. I also appreacite the oportunity I was given to participate in this learning event and I am sure it is going to be another memorable experiance too. Thank you and have a beautiful day. Daniela Milevska Jakimova

I have been a teacher of English in Primary school for 25 years. There were a lot of touching moments during these years, but the most touching one was when three students of different nationality to Greek told me that they were grateful to me because I have taught them English, since they could not afford private lessons or frontistirio, which usually happens in my country. That makes me go on, despite the difficulties of the job. Κατερίνα Ντίμου

I have been teaching for more than 18 years now. My best memories are made of former students that i meet (some are working, married or with kids of their own) and always express their gratitude and how they remember my geography classes. Filipe Ferreira

Teaching is a gift and the opportunity to have lots of nice and sometimes unpredictable moments that then later become our wonderful memories. One of the memories that has just come to my mind is when I was on the way home from the USA after two-month teaching exchange programme. Of course my mobile was off for 2 months, it didn't work there, I could only phone my family with a phone card. So my mobile was silent. I just arrived in Munich where I had a connection flight. I was excited about being home soon. And I was hurrying to find the right terminal, when suddenly my mobile rang, so unexpectedly that it made me really frightened at first. I could hardly find the phone in my bag to answer. To my surprise, it wasn't a call from my family, it was a call from my student. He was calling only to ask: "Tetiana Anatoliyivna, are you OK?" I was so touched to hear that. This memory has suck in my mind since then. This student graduated from school successfully and going to get the university degree. And I go on teaching, and go on collecting those precious moments, which last with me forever, bright memories which touch my heart and warm my soul. Teaching is really a wonderful thing that is worth doing.:) Tetiana Shypko

Every time I spend with my students trying new things doing activists hearing from them that they enjoy my class all of this are lovely memories Asma AbdAlrahman

Twice I tried to change my life and my job fundamentally. Firstly I was very glad because I had much free time, I didn't think about my work all day long. But some time passed and I returned to school. I'm happy in teaching! I'm happy that teaching is my job and hobby. Svitlana Gutnieva

I am very happy to be a teacher. I always work on activities and projects on students' personal development. I develop ideas to favor water, wildlife, animals and humans. That I have not come to this world for nothing and I think that my development should have a reason and meaning. Unforgettable moments with my students When I meet with the students who remember me, they have a big smile on their eyes and faces. It's not about having something, it's important to have something. I belong to this group and I am very happy. Yüksel Ertuğrul

I am happy to be a teacher, even if sometims is hard to be one. I have more experience as an language teacher for adults than as an elementary school teacher. But everyone has to adjust, so did I. I love the challenges and the opportunities this job gives. A special treat are this learning events on eTwinning and the projects you can join on this platform. Andreja Štrukelj

Whenever I have a chance to speak with my graduate students, they tell me good memories and they make me very happy. Two months ago while having dinner at a restaurant, a young lady came and asked me whether I recognized her. Of course I recognized her, her name, surname and a lot of things from her period. She told me that I had inspired her a lot in the projects, which she worked at university and provided her to travel European countries. She thanked me that I had given her the chance to work in the projects and leaded her a lot. I was satisfied with hearing such inspiration that I had created. Asuman Baş

As a music teacher, my best memories definitely are the shows I prepared with my students. I love the moments before the shows, when they are doing their best to learn the songs and the movings on the stage. I love the way they work as a team to achieve the performance. I love the excitation of the rehearsals. And of course, I love the performance in itself, the smiles on their faces when we've done it. They're always so proud of themselves. And their family, my collegues and I are very proud of them too. It's a good way for them to improve their self-confidence, and I'm very happy when they say to me that they will remember this experience forever. Céline Fougère

To meet a student you had years ago and that comes to talk with you. To remember the good moments. To see him / her so grown up! Karine RICHARD

I am proud and happy to be a teacher especially when I teach English, my favourite language. About my experience, I have lived many great moments. First when I can see the result of my hard work. Second, when I look on their eyes and I mesure their love. I have many memories with them: nice party ,nice presents; many hugs, many kisses , a smile. I have many memories, for example : from 1997 to 200; it was my students in the 6th year, now, her daughter is my students; and she still call me my best teacher. when she sees me ,she never stop telling me that she loves me . I am happy with my profession.I love my job and love my students ..I have a lot of memories in my 15 years of teaching ): A years ago we have a passive class with studying but a little naughty children. One of them was from the poor family.even he couldn't come to school becasue he hadnt got shoes .One day all class put all their money together and bouhgt shoes, trousers for him. When i saw it i really was very happy ..MAybe they didn't study well but i am sure they are the best persons .. Vafa Ahmadova

I have always had nice memories during my career as a teacher, but the one I’m writing about now is the best ever. When I was a novice teacher I had in my class a pupil who suffered from bullying because of dyslexia. He would put down his head and remain silent instead of answering the teachers’ questions. His colleagues would speak on his behalf. They literally said he was dyslexic. So, I used to encourage him to lift up his head and answer back. I used to give him more time compared to his peers and encourage everyone to articulate the English sounds during the lesson. Everyone felt concerned about pronunciation. There was peer correction and the feelings of compassion and solidarity started to surface. For projects, when it came to popular persons, pupils were asked to look for information about Walt Disney and Einstein. Later on, pupils were told that those successful people were dyslexic. To their surprise, students started to change their attitude towards their classmate. I remember his mum coming overjoyed to school saying her son wanted to drop out of school at first, but now he wants to become an Einstein. Hana Ben Kahia

My best memories are numerous, I cannot pick up one to say that it is the best. They pop up everytime when I meet my former students and see their smile, or when they send me a message and we remember on of our project activities or mobilities. Every time this happens I believe that I was following the right road in my professional career. Zlata Hrženjak

What a tough question! I really don't know. I suppose like some of you have said: many brilliant memories, which is nice because it keeps me going. Let's not forget we are doing a difficult job and we are never far behind bus drivers and prison wardens in surveys in terms of stress! Julia Bohr

Great memory, it will never be forgotten Karine Yeghoyan

Being an early childhood education teacher requires a good education from a school that specializes in training teachers. You must also have a personal interest and passion for helping young kids, and watching them learn and achieve. This is one of the most heartwarming benefits of being a preschool teacher. On many days, you will spend more time engaging them and teaching them, and influencing their behavior more than anyone – including their parents. That’s why you simply need to acquire the in-depth knowledge and skills that only a preschool education focused degree program can provide. Milijana Gajic

School is my life. I have been working at my school for over 30 years. I am happy but sometimes I am tired. I love my kids. When i meet my school leavers and they are glad to see me.. It is a real happiness! Oksana Shtykh

I have been teaching for 44 years never regretted it.Different things happened during this time. Were tears and laugh. Some of my students live abroad. Last year one of my students passed me warm shawl from America not to catch a cold because it is cold in our school in winter. It was a pleasure to get such gifr and realize that students take care of me. Taisa Khryplyva

Although, I am my first year as a teacher and it is very difficult for me, I have many beautiful moments already. For example, I have a student who, when he sees me, opens his arms to cover me. Thirty years of teaching have passed and they have been filled with success and fond memories. I crossed my schoolbag for miles on foot in my hand to teach poor children. I chase the dogs that attack me every time I pass a farm, so the inhabitants were nice to me, the only teacher in the school. I repair the shoes of the students who are worn out by the road full of mud. Whenever I went to an institution, I found only one of my students Leila Oussaeif

School Often, one may not realize the value of a thing until it is missed. How heartbeat my heart is when I remember school, and the comrades with whom I spent most of my days studying, in the playground and outings. The school is my childhood, the cradle of my purity and my youth, the era of my joy and my joy, and the stage of my dreams and thoughts. If I walked now in its streets, I found a trace of my old self, and it represents a fantasy of a companion that I loved and a friend I associate with. And I became whenever I passed a place, I say ˸ ‫ مر‬In this place I passed, and with my companions on this hill I sat, here we climbed the raspberry tree to reap its fruits, so the teacher surprised us by reprimanding him, and on this rock, and under the shade of that oak we sat on the day we were twelve, We sing with the poems we memorized, then chant them with joyful admirers! ”Those memories are beautiful, sweet, which I will not forget, no matter how many days have passed, and the years have repeated. I stayed at the school the day I was inside, and I hated the best things because I was ignorant of its facts and potentials. Then I left it, so I loved all the things to the simplest, and I made it bigger, because I put in my hands a weapon with which I would fight the misfortunes of life. Ibrahim Nouri

I've been a teacher since 1993. It is 27 years of many memories and other situations that go out over time. As experiences and contexts are already so many that it becomes difficult to point out only one or two. I feel a lot of joy and pride in seeing my students happy and having good results, of the small great achievements. I am equally happy when I learn something new that will help me teach better, motivating and cause in my students. I love being a teacher and learner also! Cláudia Sousa

I am very happy to be a teacher and I love all my students, I have teaching Computer Science for 21 years. During these years İ have had a lot of memories with my students. Aicha Ben Slimen

I am Sabina Eminova from Azerbaijan. As every teacher here I love my students very much. I have been teaching for 20 years at the same school. I have seen many students during my teaching period. There have been funny, joyful, wise, enthusiastic ones and many others. In 2015 my students and I participated in an eTwinning project "My wish kite". They were so involved and happy during the period of the project and when we released the kites seein their happiness I decided to continue with eTwinning projects. As everyone else, I have lots of wonderful teaching moments! I've been teaching since 1988, so that probably makes me one of the oldest teachers in here! This may sound crazy, but in my classes, we usually work together pretty well all during the semester. Then there is a final examination during the last class. Sometimes they are 90 minutes, but most are 3 hours. Students come in very nervous and tired, of course. My classes are literature, and all over the semester we have talked about literature and taken quizzes, written reactions-worked with the texts and discussed them about our lives, too. I think a lot of teachers feel this way on the last day of class when students leave. The good thing is there is the next class to look forward to! The tests are hard but they also have a fun question on them. . . something like "my favorite text" or which 5 characters we read would you invite to a dinner party with you. . something like that at the end for some bonus points. At any rate, my favorite moments are when the last student leaves the classroom after the final examination. The classroom is empty but the air is still filled with 3 hours of silent intensity as the students wrote, shaking their hands every now and then from cramped writing, smiling at me now and then when they look up and catch my eye as I smile at them to reassure, and they go back to writing. The classroom is empty, and I usually get these emotional feelings of the whole semester all at once--from when they all came in shy or indifferent, slumping into chairs at the beginning to gradually over 16 weeks becoming a real learning community working together as we read and discuss, so that by the end we are kind of a group, and I usually get a pang of missing the class (but am also glad it's over!!). I usually just sit in this empty classroom and read through the tests quickly, browsing and seeing who did really well, if that student who hadn't been doing well really met the challenge and put in a great test at the end, and reading through the fun bonus questions that are there for me more than them. After about 20-30 minutes, I get up, put the tests in my bag, sigh with mixed emotions of being glad the semester is over but also nostalgic for this class that will be no more. I leave the room, looking back as I switch off the lights and am filled with this inner bliss that is so hard to describe. It's a magical feeling that is more rewarding than money or chocolate or a glass of good wine. I thi this is a feeling a lot of teachers have on the last day of class when the students leave and the classroom is suddenly quiet and empty but full of what happened all term in the air. The good thing is there is always the next class! Richard Powers

I'd like to be a teacher....It's great to communicate with pupils, teach them, to see their interest.. .I try to be the motivate power for them and I'm found of creative tasks...My students' experience and excitinese are the best thanks for me. Svetlana Yakiviuk 

Hi! I love being a teacher. I often say that if I weren't a teacher, I wanted to be a teacher. I have many good memories. I received gifts: cloths embroidered by a student, vegetables, messages via facebook ...I have already come across an ex-student pushing a stroller and calling me by my name "professora Lídia!". I also had that student who slept in the classroom, the grades went down, he was sad and one day I told him that I needed to talk to him and that he should stay in the class with me during the break.I asked him why he always looked tired and sad and he replied that he suffered domestic violence from his alcoholic father. I cried with him. We both wiped away tears and hugged each other and told him I knew what was going on because I too had been a victim of domestic violence on the part of my ex-husband. From then on we became more complicit and there was never lack of smiles between us. His grades went up and he got 20 (maximum grade) in the National Exam. Is there anything more comforting for a teacher than this? We are human, above all. Lídia Fernandes

I am really very happy to be a teacher.I have wonderful pupils who try their best to absorb everything I give them to learn. A challenge for me are lazy pupils who are not interested or they do nothing to improve their skills. Nothing is interesting for them. That is really difficult for me. Olga Lupu

When I was in the fifth gade I like English at my school because I like my teacher . Then I decided to be an English teacher . I am very happy when I remember those beauitiful memories . So I love teaching and my students . Kawther Alomoush

One of the best memories I recall is when I took part in a project during which I and my pupils agreed to collect outfits for needy pupils at school. We launched the campaign and we tried to convince eveyone to take part in it. Everyone participated in his own way.. and at the end I used to see those little kids coming happily to my class to express their happiness. Najoua Mrabet

I decided to become a teacher and never confuse twins again. I will tell you secretly that I had twins in my group. Indeed, sometimes they are so similar that it is difficult to distinguish them. I love this job. Renata Płonka
