DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT Now days’ time brings possibilities of migration more and more, the borders become erased or they deepens. Everyday culture is increasingly link to digital development and trends in society, at the same time the tendency towards respect and knowledge of its roots and acceptance is deepening. We are aware the past influences the present, our daily lives and values. With partner schools, we want to indulge an interest for our own roots and traditions, find the similarities and differences of a particular culture in the common European area and to raise awareness of common European values (non-discrimination, equity, solidarity and social inclusion) The starting point of the project is to encourage parents and children to increase their interest in their own cultural heritage, to learn about the cultural differences to accept differences of kindergartens/ schools involved children.
GOAL - The project goals for teachers : - Connecting with other European countries and introducing novelties gained through mobility (working methods, ways of work with parents, involving children from other cultural backgrounds) into the educational process. - The dissemination of good practices among other project participants. - Deepening competencies for inclusion. - Improving the use of ICT assets. - Improving the use of English language. The project goals for involved families for children: - Active participation in the educational process (cooperation with families). - Encourage the interest in own and foreign cultural heritage. - Getting to know other cultures, accepting diversity and deepening tolerance. - Expand social network, enable inclusion in the child's education in educational institution. - Getting to know traditional customs (celebrations, fingers, children's games) of its and others culture. - Getting to know the narrower and wider social and cultural environment, and getting to know intercultural and other differences and similarities. Children get acquainted with the use of ICT technology (computer, camera, various online tools - Skype, painter, Google maps ...) and foreign language.
WORKING PROCESS
Country teams are going to be formed. -The Project is going to consist of monthly activities. -Teachers are going to share the activities that children perform together on twinspace regularly and follow their partners from there. -Every participant is going to share pictures and videos that introduce the country and children and a logo is going to be selected. -Also: Traditional bread baking, My town once upon,Customs at home and abroad (Celebrations, Finger games, Old children playing games), Folklore (dances, songs, music) ,Clothes and footwear (traditional costume) -We will organize different types of collaborative activities. (poster, e book, skype,video,)
RESULT - The project will have an impact on greater awareness, overcoming stereotypes, better understanding of social, ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity and positive response to it. - It will enable us to exchange good practices in dealing with cultural differences at the international European level, by strengthening interpersonal relations. At the same time, it will open new possibilities for upgrading our own educational process, integrating innovative approaches, new methods of work, which can be gained in cooperation with partners during the project. -To learn about their own cultural background, tradition and customs, - to acquaint themselves with the difference and to strengthen tolerance. - learn various inclusive approaches for integrating children from different cultural backgrounds into the educational process, -developing their ICT skills and knowledge, - improve communication skills and skills in working with international partners, -Improve knowledge speaking foreign languages.
