The design intention is to create a space to teach and demonstrate making healthy food while also testing students’ creativity in the kitchen. Low-income households tend to choose the cheaper and quicker route when it comes to meals that cost them their health and well-being. This project intends to provide a safe and accessible space for those in need for a more nutritous diet. The space will also provide workstations and areas of collaboration for students, young adults, and children of the scholars to work and build a trusting community. The main three spaces in the design will include educational, exterior, and office spaces.
