• Helped lead the effort to unify the industry voice on pesticide and fertilizer regulation • Secured new fertilizer preemption laws in North Dakota and Utah • Defeated Neonic bans in a dozen states • Successfully held off several fertilizer seasonal blackout proposals in Florida • Met with the EPA Office of Pesticide Programs to represent industry interests • Fought efforts to ban or restrict product choice at the local level
• Co-chaired the H-2B Workforce Coalition • Succeeded in getting caprelief included in the 2017 Consolidated Appropriations Act • Gained the approval of 16,000 additional H-2B visas • Secured introduction of H-2B reform legislation in both houses of congress • Engaged members in H-2B advocacy through action alerts, fly-ins, and social media campaigns
• Conducted high level leadership meetings with key federal agencies including the Department of Homeland Security, the White House’s National Economic Council, and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Pesticide Programs • Fought to overturn restrictions on turf grass use in our nation’s design and building codes and regulations • Collaborated on advocacy with industry association leaders and other stakeholders in 20 states, and provided financial support in several others • Actively partnered in over a dozen industry related coalition efforts
