Case Study analysis for Interior Design About Mast i The design is derived from the restaurant’s name - Masti, meaning mischief and fun in Hindi; the vision for the project was to make it a modern and contemporary destination that is bold, vibrant and buzzing with energy - much like the nation that inspired the concept .
38
Interior Design
Observation The design created a series of spaces across two floors, each of which offer a unique experience in terms of degree of privacy and dinning style, with colourful take on Indian influences running as a common thread between them. The ground floor is primarily meant for day-time usage, featuring a bright palette and low lounge furniture. A Juice Bar in white marble mosaic, brass and wood emerges as the centrepiece for the zone, a refines take on the typical juice kiosks seen in Indian market s.
39
Site Observation
The Design is characterized by a vibrant colour palette and whimsical design elements that display the best of Indian craftsmanship - brass lattice screens that delineate private dining spaces, a kolam - inspired floor inlay ( a ritualistic form of hand drawing that uses rice flour), and customer-made glass and brass lighting fixtures.
On the first floor, a combination of high cocktail tables and plush chairs balances the loosely structured layout of the indoor dining spaces; with the bar counter acting as a spatial anchor, the seating configurations vary from intimate clusters of two and four to banquettes The terrace seating features contemporized takes on Indian crafts, most notably tarkashi (traditional Indian wire inlay work) and stone inlay used to create Ludo board layouts on table-tops.

Ste p -well Step-well, Gujarati vav, Hindi baoli or baori, subterranean edifice and water source, an architectural form that was long popular throughout India but particularly in arid regions of the Indian subcontinent. For centuries, stepwells—which incorporated a cylinder and polygon well that extended down to the water table—provided water for drinking, bathing, and the irrigation of crops. They also served as cool sanctuari es for caravans, pilgrims, and other travelers. Complex engineering feats and stunning ex amples of both Hindu and Islamic architecture.
O bs e r v a t i o n • Rhythm: Telescope view. • Shape: Towering pavilions. • Contrast: Powerful play of light and shadow could be equally disorienting. • Pattern and Balance: Repetitive stair (line) pattern and shape all around. • They can be in any geometry polygon shaped even in circular and L shaped. • They can built from rubble stone or brick. • They have as many as separate entrances. • Elevating the humble act of collecting water into an extravagant piece of public theatre. • Hindu artists carved sculptures and friezes packed with deities, humans, and animals but Islamic versions had more-sedate adornment and often incorporated arched side-niches.

Workstation project culminates in design recommendations for space layout, appropriate technology selection, and specific furniture or equipment of interest. . The security at the offsite ATMs is liberal. Due to this, many crimes occur regardless of presence of security guard. Our objective is to design the workstation for security guard which would strengthen the security of an offsite ATM, users and the guard. By improving the security system of an offsite ATM through providing appropriate facilities to the security guard.
