NAMI Coastal MS

NAMI Coastal MS thanks the Mental Health Association (MHA) of South MS for providing the Youth Mental Health First Aid Class. NAMI Coastal MS sponsored the lunch for the Youth Mental Health First Aid Class held for CASA on December 11th, 2020.

It was a great day for Youth Mental Health First Aid training with CASA and several others. MHA thanked NAMI Coastal MS for sponsoring lunch and snacks! Th ank you to Th e ARC for letting MHA of South MS use their space. Th ank you to members of Coast Electric through Operation Round Up and their Community Trust in partnership with Gulf Coast Community Foundation for giving MHA of South MS the funds to have these trainings.

NAMI Coastal MS hosts our Family Support Group and our Connections Support Group meeting in person on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at The Arc of Mississippi, 3109 Gulf Ave., Gulfport, MS (CDC guidelines are observed) or attend virtually via conference call.

On October 23rd, NAMI Coastal MS participated in the Mental Health and Wellness Community Event at the Biloxi Civic Center. Thank you to everyone who shared their resources on Self-Care Day, and all those who came out to participate!

Special recognition and of thanks to Cynthia Shields, President of NAMI Coastal MS for her In Our Own Voice presentation. Our booth was well attended and more than 35 individuals obtained information about our meetings and the mental health information provided by NAMI MS.
