personal identity description:
My goal was to introduce myself the best way I can by a logo, a slogen and a self-branding. I am always in the move: open to learn something new and I tend to push myself one step further driven by my curiosity. There is something spiritual in this concept, it also reflects my notion about life and being alive: people and nature are always in change, stillness is just an illusion in my view. This is the philosophy of Heracletus: “You never step in the same river twice.”

flowpow, branding description:
Flower power was a slogan used during the late 60s and early 70s as a symbol of passive resistance and non-violence ideology. This is where the brand name comes from. Flowpow can be a feeling with a message that I accept myself no matter who I am or how I look like. My heart is full of love regardless anything and I am kind to the world. I am proud to spread it not only with words but also through what I wear. I’m in love with beauty so I wear beautiful tattoos on my body – even on my face for anyone to see, because I want to share this feeling with people including you.

‘Let me be_’ The slogan supports the concept. ‘Let me be, let me exist and think the way I can by nature’ is the basic meaning of it. It is about self-acceptance. However, we can also use it — by filling the gap —, in a specific way highlighting our very own nature or our momentary thoughts, feelings. Thus, the otherwise universal slogan can be easily adapted to the individual, too. I am going to illustrate this by bringing a few examples without being exhaustive.

Woah is a concept, a fictional sex streaming website that main goal is toentertain the audience: make them curious and delighted about its content by refreshing design elements. description:
I illustrated Thom Yorke’s (The Radiohead’s frontman) latest studio album called ANIMA. He is my favourite artist whose music has a huge impact on me and this album is so electronic and weird that I thought it might be fun to illustrate the songs. At first, I tried to understand and process the lyrics but those are as abstract as the music, so what I could do was just somehow feel them and pick some symbolic words to work with. I gave birth to those surreal geometric illustrations that reflects the electronic beats and the alienated, industrial feeling.

Dunakavics is a Hungarian retro candy in the market, being sold in a plastic bag. I redesigned the packaging that became multifunctional. INFODEMIC description:
As I wanted to experiment with generative tools, I have chosen a topic to which this method applies. I have experimented with this node based software – running through the browser –, through a year to be able to execute the ideas I had. What we see is real time generated and there is an interactive virtual exhibition in which we can look around to see the posters with their constantly moving content.
concept:
This project was created with the intention to call the attention to a current social problem. Infodemic is a phenomena that came with the growing digitazation: information can spread more rapidly with the expansion of social media and internet use. In these circumstances hand in hand with a worldwide pandemic we already hardly find what the valid content is and what we can trust in. There is another outbreak on the horizon: this is the mass of information we face with day after day. Rumours, fake news, conspiracy teories, misleading information have turned to be easily viral. As a respond to this situation I have created a poster campaign. The generativeness appears in three aspects: in what we see, read and hear. Generativity often comes hand in hand with randomness and this is a core element here. In this way the visual doesn’t have any meaning, but it is striking and spectacular just like those click-hunter news. What we read is totally incomprehensible: I have reused fake news from snopes.com and I’ve generated random word order or letter order (in case it is just a single word) from them. For the sound I have collaborated with Fausto Mercier sound designer who generated the noise. The whole project reflects that collective state of mind we have caused by disinformation, misinformation and malinformation. It causes confusion, mistrust and anxiety in the individual. The work is consciously internet based. The visual design relies on the aesthetics of the software.

description:
ARC is a Hungarian non-governmental organization announcing a contest and an exhibition every year with a chosen important topic. An exhibition that is open to anyone aiming to react, criticize, and call attention to worldwide and domestic challenges and problems. Indeed most of the billboards reflected the pandemic in 2020 or the climate change in 2019, while a number of them discussed, as usual, Hungarian political and power „curiosities”. The ARC public exhibition started in 2000 with the aim of refreshing the national promotion culture of public billboards. Ever since, it has grown critical of politics and worldwide phenomena, and has moved towards urban street art. Somewhat awaited then, it mostly manages to address and attract younger generations.

what nana has been doing in 2020 description:
Every day I seized my momentary moods, feelings, or thoughts at the time of the first wave and took some photographies. This became a part of my daily routine. I needed to contact people somehow, so I intended to use my photo posts as an open diary and also a channel of communication between me and the audience (you). I shared these photos on social media such as Instagram and Facebook. I got so much attention and reaction on my posts that I really felt connected in my loneliness. This was a collective loneliness.
concept:
Most of the cases (more with the time) the photographies point in a surreal direction. This happens for a reason: I felt this period extremely surreal even with the fact, this happens with me also when the life is normal. To be alive, to do stuff, to follow rules, to be a part of an organized society, the whole construction is sometimes surreal and also wondrous. Now everybody had the chance to experience how weird the existence is sometimes... So there is a somehow organized system with plenty of local and worldwide problems. We knew that at some point a catastrophe will come, the anxiety was (is) always in the air. We were almost waiting for the moment when this anxiety takes shape instead of uncertainity, when a disaster is comes with a great tragedy but with the hope that change comes with it: mankind can consider about what is important in life and what is not, our ability to cooperate and taking care of others might come to life again.
process:
I had very limited tools at home in my rental flat, while everything was closed. Creativity was needed in these circumstances. Sometimes with sadness, sometimes with anger or nervousness or hope or hopelessness or with the feeling that this is the greatest time for creation I started to think in colors and shapes and objects...

MODEM
outer skin, inner space description:
I was asked for a collaboration with the Rotterdam based Hungarian photographer Csilla Klenyánszki by the MODEM (Modern and Contemporary Arts Centre, Debrecen) to make an art project. We focused on the core element we all experienced meanwhile the pandemic: the feeling of lack. Csilla has a little boy, so in her case it was the lack of lonelyness, in my case it was the feeling of isolation. This project for me was a continuation of an already existing project I made when the first lockdown happened: the continuation of What Nana Has Been Doing in 2020.
concept:
I’ve given ’Outer Skin, Inner Space’ as a title that has lots of underlying meaning. My starting point was searching for what it really means to me to feel like home these days. I was thinking in psychics. Outer skin is a symbol of both connection and separation as this is our skin’s funkcion. If we mix the words up like inner skin (and outer space) it refers to the uterus that embraced, feeded and protected us. When we cover our whole body with a blanket and get a hot delicious drink, these things are probably gives us similar feeling so we calm down. Inner Space refers to our inner universe, our thoughts, ourselves we live with and be with 0-24. So the title is tricky, if we mix up the words like outer space and inner skin, we get two other concepts that extends the meaning of the whole project and gives more explanation.
