Schedule for Multigenre Research Projects within a Semester Writing Workshop Course

Week One: Share photos of projects and read aloud an example multigenre report.

Week Two: Brainstorming topics, interviewing tips, and research proposal.

Week Six: Academic research, reading, and summary.

Week Seven: Prewriting, drafting, and narrative genre selection.

Week Eight: Poetry genres, photo writing, publishing options, and project planning.

Week Nine: Writing from another point of view, allegory, and genre analysis reports.

Week Ten: Nonfiction writing, inserting direct academic quotes, and advocacy genres.

Week Eleven: Revision, transitions, and endnotes.

Week Twelve: Other genres and the cover essay.

Week Thirteen: Publishing, works cited and proofreading.

Week Fourteen: Presentations and sharing.
