ROW RESIDENTIAL FACADE DESIGN
RIVERSCAPE HIGHRISE APARTMENTS
The double height space on the top two floors because of the added plantation, demanded us to design a zig and zag like extension of the slabs. Once we extended the slabs, the simple difference in the lengths of the extensions looked appealing enough to repeat it with the bottom three floors. This simplistic design move helped us develop a minimalistic row housing facade keeping the client’s budget to the minimum. I understood with this project how only following the basic design criteria could help one develop an intricate design language easily. 6

BOUTIQUE RETAIL CAFE
MERCEDES EXPERIENCE CENTER POINTING AT THE AMBIENT MEDIA PLATFORMS
Mercedes Benz as a brand has a story to sell and tell its customers - starting from the 300 SL era to its exceptional transition to electric mobility in the recent years. This project is an incubator for Mercedes’ clientale to dip into the car giant’s boutique retail cafe offering a sensual pure Mercedes Benz experience.

Material Strategy: Since the project is a commentary about transition, the different design moves play with the “dual nature” of the materials used. Finished & Unifinished/Raw yet Polished/Natural & Industrial 29

VIEW OF THE MAIN ENTRY FROM THE KIOSK-CAFE’S END OF THE GROUND FLOOR TOP: COMPLETE ROOM VIEW BOTTOM: THE BEDROOM LOUNGE
The KIOSK-CAFE in the ground entrance is mainly inspired by warehouse architecture. Warehouses were the prime congregation spaces for the first Mercedes buyers. Luxury and brown leather from the 300SL classic seats are used in the lounge area and the kiosk chosen is an aluminium extrusion - to imitate a static yet dynamic looking object similar to a Mercedes Benz exterior. 32
The guest rooms are located in the third, and the fourth floors. Furniture here brings in the contrast in experience from the Left to right - from the classic Louis Poulson pieces to the contmeporary furniture and fixtures. 33

HAL TABLE & CHAIR SET
As a project manager at Vitra, I worked on over 15 high end spaces from companies like Apple, Kvadrat, and residential projects - proposed a 300 seat SoftWait system configurations with Hal table and chairs, as a part of the Toronto Pearson Airport’s interior planning proposal.
THE END
THE END
I KNOW NOTHING, BUT TO CURATE AND LEARN NEW THINGS, TO GENUINELY COLLABORATE WITH PEOPLE, AND TO DESIGN FOREVER!
I found myself to be a better person, handed with a magnifying lens to see this world, after joining architecture school. Running behind the joy of developing meaningful spaces, I taught myself to appreciate the last details and the invisble processes, that construct the end product. I have kept myself open to the world of possibilities, styles, and necessities. My genuine work ethic goal is to have a rigor of a Michelin star chef’s, in a design studio. Hi, I am Nandan Pemmaraju, and I dedicate my life to learning things that lead to designing spaces, furniture, and objects!
