help make your time together enjoyable and rewarding by following these tips: • Make learning fun. Use the star stickers as rewards and praise your child often. • Choose a quiet time when you and your child are relaxed • Give tasks which your child can handle. Work on only a few pages at a time. Go page by page,
activity to activity; it is not necessary to finish the entire workbook at one time..
• These pages are meant to be repeated over and over again. • Don’t work when your child is tired or hungry. Don’t force your child to continue if he or she
wants to move along to something else. Remember children have short attention spans.
• When your child colors, traces or stickers numbers, remember to name aloud as you go along. • Do not be critical of mistakes. If your child recognizes a number but gives the wrong name,
correct your child by saying “Yes, I see a six. You are good at finding numbers!”
• End each session on a positive note. Praise your child’s efforts • Reinforce workbook activities by using real objects at home and counting objects while going
about normal routines such as food shopping.
• And, most importantly, make learning time fun !

about this book Let’s Count & Color! introduces your child to the numbers 1-10 with fun illustrations and such engaging activities as stickering and coloring. You will find that the numbers are repeated and always in sequential order. At this early age, when your child is learning to count, it is important to keep the numbers in order. Numbers should always be read aloud so that your child learns to recognize the numbers by sound. The next step is for your child to associate the number with objects. Point to each object on the activity page so that your child understands that you are counting one object at a time. Allow your child time to digest the information by coloring or stickering the objects on the activity page. Reinforce the lesson by reading aloud the numbers and counting the objects in sequence. Once your child starts to recognize numbers, he or she will want to write it for him- or herself. After a few practice rounds, your child can try it alone and can trace the numbers by following the dotted lines. We hope both you and your child enjoy this learning activity. Have fun! {NANNY TATA & CO.}

Y our stickers are here!
{ N A N N Y T A T A & C O . } has created this series of workbooks to give parents and
nannies a fun tool to help pre-school aged children learn basic numbers, colors and shapes. These workbooks take into special consideration, children in multi-lingual families whose first language may not be English. We hope that this will be a great accessory for nannies and parents who are introducing children to the English language. We have eliminated the clutter typically seen in children’s workbooks in place of simple, colorful illustrations, in order to help children focus on the activities. At this stage repetition is key, reinforced by simple words and images that children are already familiar with through their own everyday activities and experiences. Therefore, you will see many images repeated throughout our books. Our philosophy is to build upon what the child has already learned from previous pages and exercises as they move from page to page, workbook by workbook. Working together on these workbook activities will help your child build confidence, learn to reason, and develop language, math and writing skills.
