About Our Chamber

Founded in 1934 and incorporated in 1954, the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce is the primary organization dedicated to promoting the interests of the island business community. Currently, the Chamber boasts over 750 business, nonprofit and individual members, and enhancing its membership ranks remains a critical endeavor. The ongoing viability and vitality of the historical, cultural, civic, environmental and recreational features that position our island as a premier tourist destination and a unique year-round venue for its community are also paramount. As such, the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce embraces its mission statement:

To foster, promote and advocate for Nantucket’s economic vitality, while respecting the island’s unique quality of life, to the benefit of our businesses, membership, and community.

The Chamber office is conveniently located in the heart of historic downtown Nantucket – upstairs at Zero Main Street – where our staff is available to assist with visitor inquiries.
