MOODBOARD 1 (CATH KIDSTON) As an introduction brief we had to create a mixed-media moodboard. The things we had to consider were... 1) Key colour schemes which may crop up/signature motifs? 2) Are there any overriding themes? Is there an identifiable mood or personality? 3)Are there any other key influences on the brand such as artists or designers references? 4) Consider any other cultural and contextual references outside of fashion such as literature, film, music or politics

MOODBOARD 2 (RICK OWENS) For the first project we had to create a digital moodboard on a brand that was chosen for us. Within the moodboard we had to use 10 images to clearly represent our brand’s visual identity and identify any prevalent visual themes and cultural references associated with this brand. We had to then present our final moodboard to our lecturers and peers.

BRAND ANALYSIS PRESENTATION (CELINE) For project 2 we had to put together a Brand Presentation in groups. My group chose to do this presentation on Celine. We had to include a Brand Analysis, Brand Positioning, Competitors and Consumers, Communication Touch-Points and come up with a new concept for the brand. We had to include all of this in a 10 minute PowerPoint presentation.

BRAND ZINE- FRED PERRY
For project 3 we had to choose a brand from a specific list and create a brand zine. This had to include ‘The Then and The Now and The Other’. I chose to do my brand zine on Fred Perry. The final piece had to include a Brand Analysis (1000 words) and a Proposed Creative Strategy (1000 words)

PINTEREST I decided to use the platform Pinterest as my blog as I felt it was more fitting to my interests. I like the way you can create boards and categorise them with titles and information and felt that this was an extremely useful research tool when working on my projects. I created boards for each of my projects, such as ‘fashion is Rick Owens and ‘fashion is Fred Perry’. These boards consist of inspirational images, research images and my own work towards my final outcomes. I also made personal boards to show my interests and build up a bank of inspirational images.

WINDOW DRESSING PROJECT During an Art & Design Employability day that I attended, the opportunity to take part in a window dressing project with The Nottingham Bid arose. I chose to take part in this project and as a result got to select the product for and dress 2 windows in Nottingham City Centre. The theme for these windows were ‘Children's Christmas’ and ‘Dressing up for Christmas’. I got the chance to take a leadership role in sourcing products for the windows and negotiating with big companies such as Hotel Chocolat, Paperchase and Lakeland.

PLATFORM MAGAZINE
During the freshers fair I signed up for the Student magazine, Platform. I chose to do this due to my interest in writing and also as they have a fashion section in the magazine. During the first term I helped out on ‘Trent Style‘ where we photographed stylish Nottingham Trent students in a Street Style format. This was then published for the print edition of the magazine. I also teamed up with a fellow course mate to write an article for the website. We wrote this article after visiting the Levi’s Student Lock in Party and reviewed the event as well as talking about our experience.
