ART District + Cultural Hub The mission is to integrate the local identity and story into Stromholmens. Unbeknownst to most, art is Eskilstuna’s DNA. In truth, there are assorted kinds of art scattered all over the city like hidden gems. Drawing out this deep-rooted existence, art should be an integral part in the design of public spaces to help create meeting places and rooms for the community in the city. Stromholmens, an island and public park, is located at the center of the Eskilstuna’s river. It is used as a passage between the north and south and is also surrounded by cultural buildings. With its key strategic position, the island has potential for developing into an Art District and Cultural Hub.

Since the Town in Kiruna is being moved To the new city, it would affect the memories of the local people. Our vision, to retain the locals’ feeling of “A place called home”. The concept is to apply the idea of existing plannings such as organic planning, types of housing and space. Besides retaining good qualities, we would like to improve the quality of urban life by introducing new strategies into urban scale as following: a) Mixed Density b) Social Nodes c) Nature conversation

03 On-Nuch Education Park Landfill Reclamation
Bangkok, Thailand
Transforming Browfield to Greenfield The contaminated landfill of the On-nuch Waste Management Center has brought up controversies on environmental issues for this area which was once the source of prosperity for the city. Today, its potential properity can be well-reclaimed through the sustainable environmental concept. The remediation method was to integrate chemical and biological technologies which consists of 3 phases to reincarnate the ‘waste’ land to become the ‘fresh’ land. The park consists of public spaces and multitude of activities and supports educational and recreational programs including ecological restoration, land art and wetlands. The study program was divided into 2 parts: (1) Research and Analysis and (2) Design Development. Research and Analysis (both user and site) was the key factor for the brownfield projects which inspired my design with the eco researches such as Phytoremediation potential and Stormwater management.

Fluidscape
Dymamics of social space The main concept of the landscape is to respond to young students’ activities and encourage them to interact not only among themselves but also with the surrounding nature Due to limitation of landscape area, Fluidscape provides the solution that maximizes multiple usages and flexible function as much as possible. Linear Pattern creates sense of direction and allocation of spaces. Fluid Benchs formed out of the waving wooden deck, raising from the floor and shaped as a seat, table and stand are uniquely designed to serve multiple usages. Also they integrated into a mini botanical garden to encourage students to come closer to the nature. Students experience freedom to explore nature while relaxing or learning. Student can create their own imagination to do homework, play, relax or gather for outdoor classes or the school’s special.

Sculpting The Ground The campus was designed to cater to students of varying ages. From planning, landscaping to material selection, the concept revolves around the size (Small Medium Large) and needs of the children from early years, through junior school to senior school. In order to analysis, children are open-minded and imagination. Landscape is serves as Groundscapes, sculpting the ground, play with freeform.

Botanical Education With an emphasis on applied learning, the School of Science and Technology brings diverse, educational themes to various outdoor courts between the teaching blocks. Students and visitors are greeted upon arrival by a ‘green’ media wall; beyond lies the SST Plaza, a ‘forested’ courtyard. Other courtyards hold the Bioswale Rain Garden, Eco-Aquatic Garden and Weed & Wildflower Garden. A grassed amphitheatre addresses the corner road junction and serves as a secondary entrance. A specialised rooftop horticultural garden is laid-out in polygonal planting beds for study and experimentation.

Wildflower Garden This part is located at fire engine access way. Practically, this area shall be kept clear of obstructions. To comply with Singapore’s regulation, it must be provided only groundcovers or any horizontal materials for covering the entire area. The concept was to blend road line by shaping the planting area and loose gravel area. Since the area needs low-maintence therefore, we had choosed wildflowers which is zero-maintenence plants. It is not only easy for service but also allows student to gain new experiments.

07 Tverskaya Streetscape International Competition
Moskow, Russia
The Red Line Street as Linear Park The main concept is to relink Tverskaya Street’s connection to the Red Square. Whilst recognizing Russia’s affinity with the colour red, a colour associated with beauty, brightness, joy and revolution, our concept considers site specific conditions specifically historical layering in order to rediscover the new identity of Tverskaya Street. The proposal introduces new street furniture, ranging in size, usability and types, capable of supporting a wide range of functions to cater to the new urban lifestyle. These street furniture will be distributed along the length of the entire street, revitalizing the street into a new urban park. The proposal will introduce tables, seating, benches and flexible pockets capable of being adapted for an exhibition or outdoor dining.

08 Shawhouse New Urban Plaza
Existing Condition: Sunken Court
Singapore
Public Terrace The project concerns the development of public spaces. It consists in re-connecting the public plaza with Orchard road where the largest shopping street in Singapore. The terraced public concourse in front of it will be levelled and renovated. A 1,000 sq m urban Plaza with water features will be built on top and of enhancing the linkage of the Shaw house and public. The area is being renovated with an eye towards using it for red carpet events such as film premieres as well as daily activities. On ground, the development is seen as one’s home where one first enters his “terraced public” Veranda on the ground floor. The intentional choice of having the outdoor pathways having the reused floor finish and circular pattern serves to mirror and assimila the into the ceiling of the building — an urban plaza gesture of commonality in shopping street.

Herb Cafe New energy for Vacant building The workshop is driven by an objective to resuscitate a declining neighboorhood into Bangrak’s new creative district thought the renovation of “vacant buildings” in the urban nodes, turning them into new “activity hubs” with the potential to bring new vivacious energy to the area. ‘Herb Drink’ is considered one of the famous beverage of Bangrak districts. The idea is to promote the socio-culture by intregating with a deserted building which has been occupied by creepers and old trees. The proposal is to adopted neglected space to become urban farming for planting herbs and to serve as Herb Drink”
