NAPSA Board Roles and Goals 2018/19 Jess Hsiao – President I'm super excited to be your president this year and I aspire to strengthen the relationships between NAPSA and our industry bodies. My main goal for the term is to complete the handover documents which will be passed on to future boards to refer to when things/questions come up. With the board working together we hope to get a stronger line of communication between the Board/Chairs and Branches and also help out with Branch handovers where needed. Fun Fact: I always have maple syrup with my hash browns! It's a must try!
Tina Blefari – Treasurer
My name is Concettina Blefari, but I am better known as Tina. I am so proud and honoured to introduce myself as the NAPSA treasurer for the 2018/2019 term. I am currently a second-year student at the University of South Australia and have been involved in my home branch, SAPSA since I first had the opportunity as first year representative. Currently, I hold the position of SAPSA treasurer. I am passionate about NAPSA’s goal to aid every student with new opportunities to become the best possible pharmacy student, intern and pharmacist they can be. The ability to be involved in such a growing, ambitious and exhilarating field of work, surrounded by enthusiastic people during this term is something I look forward to achieving and maintaining. My goals for this term are to continue relationships with professional bodies, support the NAPSA executive team in their own personal goals and renew and/or establish policies to enhance NAPSA's current collection. Eliza Herd – Secretary I am the main communication point between our sponsors and our members! I deal with the day to day legal requirements that NAPSA has to withhold and deal with the general business of our organisation! I’m currently working on creating a media and publication package for us to advertise to potential new sponsors, and also working on updating all our current MOU documents to ensure all deliverables on both ends are being met over the term of the agreement. Fun Fact: Simvastatin is my favourite drug đ&#x;¤“
Alicia Martin – Executive Director This is second term on the NAPSA Board and I’m very excited to be taking on a communications role this year. Both internally to improve communication with the NAPSA branches, as well as externally by helping with writing and proof-reading media releases, position statements and other NAPSA submissions. I will be coordinating branch handover meetings with each new president (and executive committee if available) when each branch has their elections over the year. The purpose of these meetings is to ensure a smooth transition from one committee to another with regards to NAPSA requirements and expectations. As a past branch president, I can also provide general advice for running a branch. In addition to these roles, I am the NAPSA representative on the PSA Early Career Pharmacist Working Group and I hope to work closely with the PSA over the year. Fun Fact: I have played Broomball for Australia! (google it, it’s the best sport ever!)

Lily Pham – Executive Director I am honoured to have been elected as the Executive Director for this 18/19 term and I have been fortunate enough to choose my projects to work on. I have been chosen to represent the NAPSA student voice in SHPA’s steering committee for the residency program and will be helping the PSA develop programs to support the students’ and interns’ transitions into their careers. My current projects for my term also include helping Josh to facilitate the National Pharmacy Student Survey (NPSS), NAPSA Connect and the Pharmacy GRIT research magazine as well as working on strengthening NAPSA’s relationship with Australian Medical Student Association (AMSA). I would also like to further explore multidisciplinary care and initiate a collaborative relationship with other healthcare teams including the Dental and Optometry Student Associations. Fun Fact: I am a critically acclaimed shower singer!
Teana Didsbury – Executive Director Within my term I would like to improve NAPSA’s face to face education sessions. Firstly, I would like to develop a smooth process for branches to express their interest in sessions, allowing me to pass each branches details and preferred dates on to education providers efficiently. Additionally, sourcing new education providers is a goal of mine and discovering what students are interested in will assist me there. I will also be assisting Alicia in improving communication between the board and advisory council. Fun Fact: I have a dog named sprocket
