Reshaping Politeama into a symphony of open spaces Como / Italy Politecnico di Milano Master’s degree Thesis, 2017 Considering the cultural and historical importance of Politeama teatre, most of it kept and replaced some sections of it in order to bring out its best qualities. A community center was a clear option as a new main use for the building considering the current sociopolitical situation of the area and the great number of possibilities and openness that such typology carries.

A symphony is an extended musical composition in Western classical music, most often used for orchestra. Although the term has had many meanings from its origins in the ancient Greek era, by the late 18th century the word had taken on the meaning common today: a work usually consisting of multiple distinct sections or movements. Such metaphor is made first of all because of the relation between the Politeama and music.

I was born on the first day of spring in 1985. My childhood was as colorful as paintings I was used to drawing that time. while reading astronomy books and science fiction stories, I grew up with dream of being an astronaut. When I became a teenager, I was fascinated by ancient civilizations books. After school time, my keen interest to the fine arts, painting, pottery, photography and history of civilizations persuaded me to become an architect. After studying and working in architecture field in Iran, I decided to discover new horizons and make new experiences socially and professionally. So I moved to Milan, the city of Design.
