RCA’s Rachel Wammack has forged her own path in Country music as the only artist in the genre selected for Entertainment Weekly’s “2019 Artists to Watch” list. After the release of her autobiographical debut single “Damage” found on her selftitled EP, ongoing critical praise continues to follow as she has made AOL, Pandora, Music Row, Pop Culture, Sounds Like Nashville’s “Artist to Watch” list as well Nashville Music Guide’s “19 Artits to Watch in 2019.” Additionally, Wammack was dubbed one of Rolling Stone’s “10 Best County EPs of 2018.” The 24-year-old Muscle Shoals native is influenced heavily by the rich music history from her hometown. It was 35 years ago when the Judds’ first single, “Have a Dream (For the Heart),” peaked at No. 17 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs in 1984. Country music’s sonic landscape changed after that.
This year marks The Judds’ 35th anniversary of unparalleled success – a feat Naomi Judd opened up about in the January 21 issue of Woman’s World. “Back then, the only thing we knew was how to sing and that we had each other: we were totally dependent on that,” Naomi told the magazine.
The Judds are often celebrated for dozens of GRAMMY®, ACM and CMA Awards; a rarely-interrupted stretch of 14 No. 1 hits when every single of theirs released by RCA landed in the Billboard Top 10; and a career that defined what it means to be individualists in the music business.
