New Music from Alannah McCready Donovan Chapman, Every Day is a Gift
Allie Colleen is no stranger to the music industry but she is paving her own way. “I saw a quote ‘build an empire out of the stones they’ve thrown at you’ and it started a fire in my stomach. My whole life, everything and anything I’ve ever accomplished was diminished because it was assumed everything was always handed to me. I work my ass off, I love what I do, and there is nothing anyone could ever say to make me question my purpose on this planet,” expressed Allie Colleen. “I used to fight really hard and activate for myself, but I’ve learned bullies always have something to say and a keyboard to hide behind, so now I simply don’t give a ___!” Taking that quote, she ran with it and made it a song (“Stones”) and the title track for her debut album, Stones. The room never fails to silence as Allie Colleen begins to sing about the layers of love and heartbreak that have shaped her. Some of the songs on Stones bring witty lyrics and a connection to the song unlike most today. A noticeable trait in Allie Colleen’s conversation is that she frequently uses the word “we” instead of “I” when she talks about anything career-related, always making sure other people are given recognition for her successes. Nashville recording artist, Clay Aery, recently released his newest single “Colorblind.” The meaning behind “Colorblind” is what makes the song so heartfelt. The song teaches us the love we should give to one another, especially in today’s times. “God is love and that’s what this world needs...”, “that everyone starts living Colorblind.” Clay Aery performs “Colorblind” with award-winning songwriter and country artist, Tony Stampley. From such a young age, Aery’s love for music would make him the artist he is today.
After an injury that led to the end of his athletic career in college, he began to invest his heart into being a country music artist. Clay was influenced by a wide variety of artists, from Strait and Jackson to Whitley and Haggard; his music portrays that greatly. Aery’s love for music and people shines throughout the new single. “When someone tells me that they have enjoyed my performance, that gives me a great feeling inside that they enjoyed it. I hope my lyrics can bring a smile to their face after a long day,” says Clay Aery. He is hopeful for the future of the song; it is a song that can help shape the positivity that should be spread today. For more information:

Nashville-based, singersongwriter Alannah McCready has been releasing music in anticipation of her EP that is due out this year. Her most recent single is a duet with Will Glittens “Can I Call” and tells the story of long distance relationship and describes the multitude of feelings in such a situation, including being in love, experiencing loneliness, and having hope for the future. Gittens, is also one of McCready’s co-writers on the track, along with Sterling “David” Gittens Jr. who also served as the producer of the track. “Can I Call” highlights
McCready’s angelic, poignant vocals as well as the rich harmonies between McCready and Gittens. Alannah describes the song, “The track describes the feeling of not knowing the next time you will see your loved one and how difficult that separation can be. The song also explores the idea that even when your significant other is far away, if you know that you can call them at any time, day or night, that will bring you comfort, and you will be able to get through more than you think. I think this message will hit home with a lot of couples who might be far away from each other these days.” For more info:

Donovan’s talent and love for helping other veterans is seen in his music. He is a 100% disabled US Air Force Special Operations Air Force Pararescue Combat Veteran and the founder of Special Operations Veterans Class of Freedom Sings USA based out of Chattanooga, Tenn. His latest project is Brotherhood. Chapman said “I learned about my path in life through the struggle and surrender that gave me the strength I never had before. To surrender to God and ask for his true purpose for me to be fulfilled within my life, was the bottom line. I had to accept that it is okay to feel the way
I did and to grow as a student for life. I now know what our men and women go through in their darkest times, and I am proud of every step I took that led me to the truth in life, which I call the “Secret.” I realize that it is hard to let go of the past which attaches us to the preying victim mentality and ask God to take full control of our lives. I finally realized it had to be God’s way and not my way through life. I wrote two songs on my new album Brotherhood, titled “Two Veterans” and “Revelation Change” while in rehab, and I now dedicate my life to helping veterans find the peace within their lives that they deserve for their duty to our country and mankind, and service before self. I’m on a new mission, a mission that was designed by God long ago, and that is to understand compassion at a new level, and help others. God allowed these past things within my life to happen with his hands protecting me all along. He needed me to see the truth in life and to realize why we are truly here. I know their struggle and pain, and everyone’s pain is just as real as another. We’re a band of brothers and sisters, a sacred circle who chose to walk the path that not many will. I dedicate my life to them, as the Pararescue brothers did to me.” Another release on the project is “Highway Patrolman,” a law enforcement song featuring the Texas Highway Patrol. Fifty percent of paid royalties from the single are being donated to a THP Officer who has a son who has cerebral palsy” and needs financial support to purchase a vehicle to transport his son in. The song lyrics were inspired from the continuous dedicated work that the THP provides for the state of Texas along with the deployments to the border to support Border Patrol with the border crisis. Donovan feels law enforcement nationwide needs our love and support for their relentless work effort to keep our country safe amongst the “defund police” movements across our nation.
