It’s about having to let go of the past, no matter how sweet the memories can be. The only way to move on is to free yourself of the idea of what could have been. “I wrote this song by myself about a year ago. It’s about a relationship with someone that you watch change…almost like the seasons,” says Molly. From the uncertainty, it sparked a beautiful and bittersweet song that dives into those feelings head first. Molly has over three quarters of a million combined streams just on Spotify. Hot new country duo Madison Station (Craig Anderson and Lance Horton) have released an emotionally captivating new single, “Shoes Under My Bed.” This tune follows the success of their first release, “Life Leaving Its Mark,” which gave country radio a good introduction for this new duo and what’s to come. “Shoes Under My Bed” was co-written by number one hit writer Wil Nance as well as actress/writer Riley Weston and Pete
Sallis. It was coproduced by both
Anderson and Dan
Frizzell. “When you are so in love, you want that person to be a part of your life in every way possible and this song describes that feeling,” says member Anderson. “I heard the demo several years ago with just vocals and piano and had always planned to cut it. It’s just a great song that we fully believe in and we hope to convey that emotion clearly through the lyrics.” With their contemporary country sound that blends the 90’s throwback twist, their fine-tuned lyrics, compelling vocals and harmonies that complement one another and their effective energy make up what a true duo is all about. Edgy rising artist Emily Blackbird is making her mark in Nashville and spreading her wings with her debut single, “Ordinary Dream Girl.” Emily’s timeless and mature sound combined with her alluring rock-n-roll nature and sultry swampy vocals makes for an inimitable musical experience. Taking meaningful life lessons and stories, and turning them into songs, “Ordinary Dream Girl” bares her personal struggles when it comes to being an up-and-coming artist. “I wanted to tell my story in the most authentic and honest way
I could. It didn’t feel real, being in Nashville, and getting the chance to work with a team. It really was a dream come true,” says Emily. “To make myself believe it, I really needed to write a song about it. Ordinary Dream Girl is a song for everyone to remember that opportunities don’t always come when you’re comfortable, but you have to seize the day and rise to the occasion.” Emily is following her heart and hopes that her story will resonate with all of those eager to get out of their comfort zones and be everything they’ve always hoped to be. Andrea Vasquez, Latin Country Songstress Tommy Townsend, Southern Man get to share this with all Hell’s Angels security guards to meet Waylon. Waylon quickly became a pivotal force in Tommy’s life, taking him under his wing, recording in the studio, and occasionally, out for appearances on the road. Tommy and Waylon spent time talking about lessons learned from life and conveyed through songs. Tommy sang lead for Waymore’s Outlaws for 10 years after Waylon’s death. “I’m super excited that this album that was produced by my mentors, Waylon Jennings and Jerry Bridges, is finally coming out for everyone to hear after all these years,” said Townsend. “Getting to talk about these songs again after this long has brought back so many great memories of being in the studio with these two legends. I’m thankful to the fans, and especially Jerry ‘Jigger’ Bridges, who is still in my corner cheering me on. Special thanks to Chuck Rhodes and all the staff at BFD/ Audium Nashville for bringing this album to the forefront. Y’all Rock!” Recorded over several years, Country Music Hall of Famer Jennings and his longtime bass player/ tour manager Bridges gathered songs from Nashville’s top writers – including some in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame like Dean Dillon, Roger Murrah, Don Schlitz, Troy Seals, and Waylon himself. Many of the top-drawer songs were originally pitched to Waylon, who felt they would be a better fit for Townsend. Waylon’s signature guitar sound and distinctive voice can be heard on many of the tracks, and the studio was often filled with star power as well. Marty Stuart played mandolin, Jeff Hale and Rick Lonow played drums, and Bridges played bass on all of the tracks. Fred Newell and the legendary Ralph Mooney play steel guitar, and Newell also contributed dobro, harmonica and guitar to several tracks. Long time Waylors Barny and Carter Robertson can be heard on keys and background vocals, respectively. “I’ve never even had the thought of quitting because music is so much a part of who I am,” says Townsend, who has also become a successful entrepreneur over the years. “I just feel fortunate to be able to share this music and honor Waylon’s legacy . . .and there’s a lot more to come!” More information at
