The first-ever Artist-Songwriter of the Decade

Kentucky-born Chris Stapleton is an 8x Grammy, 14x CMA, and 10x ACM Awardwinner and one of the country’s most respected and beloved musicians. Following 2015’s quintuple platinum breakthrough solo debut album Traveller, Stapleton released two #1 albums in 2017. Both From A Room: Volume 1 (certified platinum) and From A Room: Volume 2 (certified gold) take their name from legendary RCA Studio A, where they were recorded with Dave Cobb.

His latest album, Starting Over, recently won three awards at the 67th Annual GRAMMYs: Best Country Album (Starting Over), Best Country Solo Performance (“You Should Probably Leave”) and Best Country Song (“Cold”). Starting Over found Stapleton back in his second home, Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A (with additional work done at Muscle Shoals Sound and Compass Sound Studio), surrounded by his trusted collaborators as well as some new faces. In addition to Cobb (acoustic guitar), the record features his beloved wife, Morgane Stapleton (vocals, tambourine), with J.T. Cure (bass) and Derek Mixon (drums). Special guests include legendary musicians Mike Campbell (electric guitar), Benmont Tench (Hammond B3 organ) and Paul Franklin (pedal steel) as well as the All Voices Choir who are featured on “Watch You Burn,” written by Stapleton and Campbell.

He was also recently announced as the first-ever “ArtistSongwriter of the Decade” recipient by the Academy of Country Music. A prolific writer, Stapleton has co-penned huge songs with Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan and Justin Timberlake among his own works.

The reigning ACM Male Vocalist of the Year’s latest single, “You Should Probably Leave” recently reached #1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts—his third #1 as an artist following 2021’s “Starting Over” and 2018’s “Broken Halos.” Stapleton also earned Best Country Tour at the 33rd Annual Pollstar Awards and was recently the subject of an indepth profile at CBS’ “60 Minutes.”

Chris Stapleton’s “All-American Road Show” will continue throughout 2022 with newly added stops at L.A.’s The Forum, Detroit’s Comerica Park, DC’s Merriweather Post Pavilion, Long Island’s Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center and Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena among many others.

Stapleton will be joined by several special guests throughout the run including (in alphabetical order) The Dirty Knobs with Mike Campbell, Sheryl Crow, Caylee Hammack, The Highwomen, Jamey Johnson, Elle King, Nikki Lane, The Marcus King Band, Kendell Marvel, Wille Nelson and Family, Margo Price, Mavis Staples, Dwight Yoakam and Yola.

Chris Stapleton’s “A Concert for Kentucky” stadium show raised over $1 million dollars for the Outlaw State of Kind Hometown Fund. Held this past month, the sold-out event was the first concert ever held at the University of Kentucky’s Kroger Field and featured performances by Stapleton along with Willie Nelson and Family, Sheryl Crow and Madeline Edwards.

Of the evening, Stapleton shares, “Every night we walk on a stage, we do our best to help people forget their troubles or celebrate or remember or hope or heal. Every night we play, a portion of those profits always goes to charity. As a musician I can’t think of a greater honor than reaching a point where we can play a show for 40,000 people and give all of the profits back to a community that has been so unfailingly loyal and supportive. It is a tremendously pure and rewarding moment to get to provide the medicine that is music in that space. I’m grateful to everyone who came to the show and to all of the musicians, managers, agents and crew members that made this moment possible.”

He is also slated to perform several festivals this year including Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Bourbon & Beyond, and Pilgrimage Music Festival. For more information visit www.chrisstapleton.com.
