Fourth of July Celebration
FOURTH OF JULY PARADE AND FIREWORKS
The Nassau Bay Special Events Committee (SEC) is in the planning process for this year’s Fourth of July Celebration, to be held on Monday, July 4. The entire community is encouraged to take part!
The day will begin with Citywide "Water Wars” from 12PM- 2PM. Participants may pick up a bandana at 18639 Prince William on July 3rd or 4th to play. Remember – no water balloons allowed.
From 5PM to 9PM, the SEC will host a Fourth of July Celebration in David Braun Park with food and live music. The Pie Contest will begin at 6:30PM, with prize categories for Best Presentation, Best Taste, and Grand Champion.
At 6PM, join the community for a special parade to honor and celebrate our Veterans. Parade line-up will begin at 5PM at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. The float judging categories this year will include Lil’ Firecracker; Wagons & Wheels; Red, White and Blue; Most Patriotic; and Grand Champion.
"We are so thankful to our veterans for their service to our country, and would like to honor and celebrate them during the annual Nassau Bay Fourth of July parade," SEC Member Erin Boyd.
Finally, the fireworks display sponsored by the City of Nassau Bay will begin at 9PM. The fireworks will be launched from the Nassau Bay Peninsula, so make sure to claim your spot to watch the show!
If you are a Veteran who would like to reserve a spot in the parade, contact SEC Member Erin Boyd by Wednesday, June 23, either by email at nassaubaytx@gmail.com, or by phone at 832-549-6525.
