SHED PROJECT

Hyperbolic Paraboloid

Year: 2009 Author: Kalmykova Anastasia Tutors: Natalia Saprikina, Svetlana Glotova, Ludmila Krasilova

The project of shed aims to create flowing shaded space. This was achieved by creating a single form of two joined hyperbolic paraboloids, without any distinction of roof, walls etc. The space under it transforms gradually from very being closed and sheltered to being open to the views.

SINGLE HOUSE PROJECT

Single house for one family

Year: 2010 Author: Kalmykova Anastasia Tutors: Natalia Saprikina, Svetlana Glotova, Ludmila Krasilova

The single-family house is organized through the metaball’s principles between functional zones. Each function of it is represented by one metaball, so the overall form is obtained from different relationships between functional zones of the house. As a result the spaces have its smooth boundary yet flowing one into another. The only one rigid part of the house is a core with secondary rooms, toilets and stairs.

Year: 2010 Author: Kalmykova Anastasia Tutors: Natalia Saprikina, Svetlana Glotova, Ludmila Krasilova

This is the project of semi-deatched house. Its main aim was to make the semi-detached house that looks like a single, detached house. Each room of this house is articulated with its own form.

BUSINESS CENTER PROJECT

Project in the center of Moscow

Year: 2010 Author: Kalmykova Anastasia Tutors: Evgeny Poliancev, Svetlana Golovina, Kirill Gorodov

This is the project of cultural center on the Boulevard Ring of Moscow. It is made on the difficult sloped site in historical center of the city. The boulevard cut the site into parts, so the building was also cut to provide the access to the boulevard. It slowly grew from the relief because of the slope, and gives the possibilty to open new views to city silhouette from its roof. The program of center includes lecture hall, cafe, library, “3rd place, all are open to public.

PARKING PROJECT

Project near Kudrinskaya Square Building

Year: 2011 Author: Kalmykova Anastasia Tutors: Evgeny Poliancev, Svetlana Golovina, Kirill Gorodov

This is the design of parking in historical part of Moscow, on the Kudrinskaya Square, near the one of the famous Seven Sisters. In this situation I didn’t want to block views from my place to the nearest environment. I wanted to make not only a parking for cars, but a small public space for people. So, I have designed an automatic parking space under the ground, small shops and cafes near the entrances of the parking and a comfortable public space on the roof of the structure.

LOW-RISE HOUSE PROJECT

Project of the house in the center of Moscow

Year: 2012 Author: Kalmykova Anastasia Tutors: Evgeny Poliancev, Svetlana Golovina, Kirill Gorodov

This is the design of collective housing in historical part of Moscow, on the Ostozhenka street. The building consists of two parts: reconstructed building of the XIX century and extension with the new apartments. The ground floor and the floor between historical and new parts are both public. The complex pattern on the new facade was generated using agent-based algorithms; during this process the whole variety of variations was controlled by several parameters so one could quickly achieve the most approriate result.

Small-town planning

Year: 2012 Author: Kalmykova Anastasia Tutors: Evgeny Poliancev, Svetlana Golovina, Kirill Gorodov

This is the design of the low-rise housing in the suburbs of Moscow. The township consists of six different parts - horizontal lines: industrial zone, blocks, tapes of private houses, public zone, blocks and detached houses. There is a green boulevard which runs through the whole village and connects different parts of it.

A101 BLOCK CITY COMPETITION

Project of the block

Year: 2011 Authors: Kalmykova Anastasia, Arseny Afonin, Sergei Pereslegin, Peter Novikov, Anna Kylik Competition: A101 Block City, participant, 1st tour finalist

DiverCity – is a project of a quarter based on a Block City concept, it is 125 meters long and 75 meters wide. The block contains 14 000 м3 of residential spaces, that are generally concentrated on the perimeter of the lot. There are some buildings situated in the centre of the quarter, their position and orientation do not depend on perimeter buildings, or as we call it “frame”. The “frame” is designed in the most efficient way for any orientation of the block. Thus a “turn” mechanism appears, it gives an ability to: – Make diverse spaces inside the quarter without the necessity to redesign it. – Place the block on a lot with any orientation. – Every building is assembled of 5 different units, this mechanism of assemblage allows developers to: – Lower the costs of the building construction. – Make absolutely different blocks without changing its structure, that helps avoiding the problem of dull and monotonous districts. – Situate apartments towards parks or other picturesque sites to open nice views, or conversely turn them away from highways.

37

38

39 The block is fitted with complex energy-efficiency, energy-saving and recycling systems: - It is provided with a rainwater collecting system, after being collected the water is used for technical purposes and in canalisation systems. - A geothermal pump, situated superficially under the surface of the quarter provides cheap and efficient heating. - “Grey water reutilisation system gives water for garden plants and is used for technical issues. - Every apartment has an air recuperation system that takes the air out of stanzas, where it is heated in advance. - Every block has a waste dispensation system for following recycling.

40 The number of storeys ranges from 3 to 6, also there are 1 storey parts that contain public and commercial premises. Double levelled parking holds 80 car lots and goes one floor under the ground, special lots for disabled people are provided. A garden is located on the roof of the parking, that creates a nice microclimate inside the block. first floor plan

“PROJECT RUSSIA” PAVILLION COMPETITION

Project of the pavilion for new architectural school in Moscow

Year: 2012 Authors: Kalmykova Anastasia, Arseny Afonin, Sergei Pereslegin Competition: Project Russia Magazine, Short List 15

Conditions of competition for “Project Russia” architectural magazine’s pavillion allocated the situation in Museon park near the Central Artist’s House in the center of Moscow. According to task pavillion must have had an ability to be used for lectures, presentations, round tables, workshops and exhbitions. Its budget must have not exceeded 33 000 $. So the main aim of this design was to accomodate all the functions in the most modest way.

PROCESSING WORKSHOP IN MARCHI

Program by the studio from the Architectural University in Dessau

Year: 2012 Authors: Kalmykova Anastasia, Afonin Arseny, Yablonina Maria Tuters: Dessau Institute of Architecture Worshop: Vkhutemas

This abstract 3d geomtery is the result of workshop on Processing programming language. Though it has no scale and program, it is a good investigation of how can we use the possibilities of new software for architectural purposes such as generation of complex forms. In this example the parameters of agents in agent-based system forms different kinds of “trees, that fill the given 3d container.
