Day 1 Rio de Janeiro. Arrival to the airport and transfer to the hotel. Time at leisure to enjoy the city, which offers a very rich cultural life and a landscape where the jungle, the sea and mountain join to make Rio de Janeiro a unique city. Due to its 450 years of history and beauty, Rio became the first city in the world to be declared a Cultural Human Heritage by UNESCO. At night, we suggest visiting Ginga Tropical, a perfect show to know Brazil history thought its music and typical dances. Day 2 Rio de Janeiro. B L Visit the most famous attraction and one of the most visited places in the city, the “Wonder of Rio”, better known as Crist the Redeemer. After taking a panoramic tour along the beaches, we arrive to the station to board the train, which will take us to Corcovado. Apart from being an ecological refuge, Corcovado is part of Floresta de Tijuca National Park, the largest urban forest in the world. From its summit we are able to admire a unique view. Guanabara Bay. The ascent, done in two stages allows us to reach its top, which gives us a wonderful panoramic view of the city. After this, return to the hotel. Day 3 Rio de Janeiro. B Time at leisure to explore the city. At due time, transfer to the airport. Operational note: Day 2: Ascent to Corcovado is done by regular train.

Visit the Botanical Garden, the only park that has a great variety of rare and exotic species brought from all over the world, such as the imperial palms or water lilies. Then, a visit to the Atlantic Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world with a magnificent view on the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana, the Guanabara Bay and the Sugar Loaf Mountain. Santa Teresa is a charming neighbourhood. It is culturally and historically important to Rio, as it has preserved very well the characteristics of the Old Rio. The tour passes through the district of Cosme Velho, Castelinho, the Park of the Ruins to enjoy a spectacular view of Rio de Janeiro and ends at Largo do Guimarães, the heart of the neighborhood. Departure from the hotel to Petrópolis, located in the Serra dos Orgaos, one hour away from Rio de Janeiro. On the way, stop at the Imperial Museum which served as the summer home of the imperial family during the 19th century. There you will find various historical pieces such as the sceptre and crown of Emperor Don Pedro II, historical documents, royal jewellery and works of art. During the excursion you will visit the Crystal Palace, the Cathedral of San Pedro de Alcántara and the house of Santos Dummont.
