position: lead designer, 3d modeling + render coauthors: Zbigniew Paszkowski, Oskar Foltyński Interchange railway- and bus station is a key component of the complex project. Through its functional and spatial integration of urban structure (both the existing structure and projected additions), a railway communication becomes attractive feature of catering to the needs of passengers and residents of Stargard in the field of transport (including interchanges), basic services and everyday purchasing needs. The competition area indicated spots that can be used for functions other than railway. Because of its central position in the city and perfect to communicate these areas can be used for localization functions citywide (streets and public squares and buildings are tied with comunication knot) and the center-and associated functions not directly related to rail or bus.

CITY STADIUM
development competition / Szczecin, PL 2013 [3rd prize]
position: designer, 3d modeling coauthors: Bernardo Vaz Pinto, Fabio Conde, Levi Da Costa , Zbigniew Paszkowski, Anna Paszkowska-Thurow To transform “function” into “beauty” is probably a good way of describing sports stadium design. Everything has to work, but everything needs to look aesthetically convincing. While being complex functional structures, stadia also represent a specific feeling of joy and pride. The CANOPY is an example of this idea: a simple continuous element, aesthetically unifying all elements underneath it, it also serves as a representation piece, a “COMMUNAL HAT”. To achieve this we simplify the elements of structure and support, so that it is first seen as a flying plane, and only when we approach it we feel the functioning elements, the concrete columns, the steel beams, the linear surfacing of the roof cover. We want the public to concentrate on the context first, and then to discover this new presence inside. THE NEW BUILDING was designed to feel that it is “sitting” on top of the existing, (now remodeled), stadium stands: It symbolizes the “NEW” that respects and looks at the memory of the “OLD”. The contemporary aspirations grounded in the history of the club and the stadium itself. In its repeated glass front façade we would hope that one will see the reflection of the existing complex, at the same time that it senses the ambitions of a new era for the stadium.

FORUM PRUSSIA
multifunctional auditorium / SZCZECIN, PL 2013 [March]
Designed object represents a proposal for a new approach to the methods of learning and teaching in higher education. The design inspiration of the volume, became the shape, existing in this place to the second half of the 19th century, the Fort of Prussia. New methodological approach is to create architectural space corresponding to the innovative teaching process. It is based on the tradition of science of philosophy and sociology of law, legal ethics, history of ideas and open form of exchange of ideas and transfer of knowledge through discussion, meetings and debates conducted in different surroundings, different from the traditional, closed space. The building volume consists of three basic components: - main part - the auditorium audience, - buffer, which binds to an existing building, - underground green roof car-park on the ramp. Designed building features an auditorium with study lounge underneath, a “Roman bath, parking, administrative section, as well as a small part with the hotel function together with the necessary technical facilities and storage.

Cinema
multiplex / szczecin, pL 2012
Cinema is associated with light. The proposed concept is based on multiplex combination between the projection of cinema reflections of light, and the crystals which refract light rays showing its richness of color and innośd, however arising out of the same reality. Multiplex reflection of light in space, is a place of reality and unreality imaging in forms resembling multiple reflections of light in the crystal. The idea of the plot of land development and architecture object is to create a free-standing, complex body of multiplex and surrounding land forms posing impression crystalline forms of multiplicated reflections of light and forms illustrating the phenomenon of crystal multiplicity of the image.

floating garden terminal
hydrofoil terminal/ szczecin, pL 2011 [Barch]
The subject of this project was created out of my personal need to boost the (already working) alternative transportation way between Szczecin and the sea-side. Local inspiration of the form were nearby cranes from decomissioned shipyard and the city slogan for development direction: “Szczecin Floating Garden. Terminal consists of two parts - the suspended building constructed as a modular box that is attched to the A-shaped frame (referring the characteristic cranes). Station is situated within a flood plain, therefore floating building seems to be functionally desirable.

LA INFINITE
CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY / szczecin, pl 2009
New way of approaching gallery exhibition. The concept was to create a space leading guests throughout the building, enabling easy digestion of art by offering a simple pathway through. The volume shape is strictly connected to the idea of infinity and the flow within. Pavillion is surrounded by organic-shaped grassy hills, separating pedestrian walk-abouts from the parking places. Project is located in the corner of a significant park in Szczecin, that offers cultural events, and great spot for families to relax.
