Historical and Architectural Heritage

– 4,000 historic and architectural relics from the 12th to 20th centuries (about 25 % of all objects in Ukraine) – Lviv city center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site – Historical, cultural sanctuaries: Lviv, Zhovkva, Belz, Urych, Nahuyevychi and Olesko – About 90 defensive monuments of XVII −XVIII centuries


Lviv Region and UNESCO ― 4 wooden churches in Drogobych, Zhovkva, Potelych and Matkiv represent unique architectural styles of Carpathian region. They were included in UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013 ― Lviv is an outstanding example of the fusion of the architectural and artistic traditions of eastern Europe with those of Italy and Germany.
