THE STORY One night, Alice wakes up from a dream Saying “I’m falling down a dark hole, then I see strange creatures. There’s a dodo bird, a rabbit in a waistcoat, a smiling cat. And there’s a blue caterpillar.” Her father says “you’re mad, bonkers, off you head. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.” Her father tells her to pinch herself to wake up from the dream. After thirteen years, Alice’s father dies from a disease and her mother sell the company to one of the partners in the company. She was different to other child at her age, she likes to try different things and do something out of the circle. One day, Alice and her mother are going to a feast, as Hamish is going to propose to Alice but she knows nothing about it. In the middle of the feast, Alice sees a rabbit jumping in the underbrush and she goes to chase it, but she didn’t catch the rabbit. Alice returns to the gazebo for the meeting with Hamish as she promises ten minutes ago. During the proposal, Alice sees the rabbit again and the rabbit is pointing at a pocket watch, to say they don’t have time. Alice runs away from the proposal and follows the rabbit to a rabbit hole, Alice accidentally falls in. After a long fall, Alice finally touches the ground and she sees a few doors with different sizes and shapes. She tries to open each of them but all of them are locked. Alice finds a key on the table in the room and opens the smallest door. She drinks a magic potion and her body becomes very small and allows her go through the door. She finally gets into the Wonderland. At the entrance she sees the strange creatures she has seen in a dream thirteen years ago and all of them can speak. They bring Alice to a Aboslem which is the prophet in Wonderland.

Aboslem tells Alice “At the Frabjous being the day you slay the Jabberwocky.” Alice is shocked and a Bandersnatch comes out with the soldiers of the Red Queen, who wants to catch all of them. Alice, rabbit and all the other people and creatures run away but some of them get caught. Alice runs away and she meets smiling cat. He takes Alice to the Hare and the Hatter, which are the opposition of the red Queen. Hatter helps shelter Alice with the solider of red Queen and the hound, and he suggests Alice get to the White Queen and get protect from her. In the middle of the travelling, a team of soldiers come out and catch Hatter and bring him back to the castle of the Red Queen. Alice is very brave and goes the castle alone to try and help Hatter out. At the castle, Hatter obtain the trust of the Red Queen and make hats for her. After this period of time, Alice has found the Vorpal Sword and stolen it from the Red Queen; she escapes on the Bandersnatch and head to Marmoreal to meet White Queen. Red Queen was very mad at this, and she plans to execute hatter and send an army to find and kill Alice. At the day before the execution, Cheshire travels to the prison to save Hatter exchanging and transforming himself into Hatter for tomorrow’s execution. Cheshire transforms into Hatter for execution so the real Hatter can sneak around the Red Queen. Hatter has invigorated everyone on the spot against the Red Queen with him. Hatter and his friends escape from the castle and head to the White Queen’s castle. At this point in time, the Red Queen is calling out her army and Jabberwocky for battle with the White Queen.
Alice arrives at the Marmoreal and hands over the Vorpal Sword to the White Queen, She talks to the White Queen about how she worries of Hatter and her friend, but the White Queen her to relax and at that moment they see Hatter and his friends are walking toward to the castle. Alice is very happy to see Hatter again after all that has happened. Hatter talk to Alice about what she thinks about the Frabjous Day; yet Alice answered “Wish I’d wake up.” Hatter disappointed when she is saying it; he disappointed that she does not care about the Frabjous Day. He is disappointed about she thinks he is not real; but she says “I will miss you when I wake up.” Finally, the Frabjous Day has arrived and at the start of the day, White Queen looks for the champion who can slay the Jabberwocky of Red Queen. Hatter and some other people volunteer to be the champion and slay the Jabberwocky, but the Oraculum which is the prophecy, demonstrates that Alice is the champion who can only slay the Jabberwocky with the Vorpal Sword. The White Queen consoles Alice “Alice, you cannot live your life to please others. The choice must be yours.” Alice is very scared and helpless, she doesn’t know what to do next and is afraid to be the slayer or the champion. She runs out crying and sits down on a bench, then sees Absolem there and he says “Nothing was ever accomplished with tears.” They talk a lot about the Wonderland and eventually Alice understand she is in the real world and everything that has happened before is real, also she is the only one who can slay the Jabberwocky and save everybody in this world.
Alice steps out and fights for the White Queen after she speaks with Absolem. The White Queen and Red Queen’s army finally meet together. Red Queen calls out Jabberwocky as her champion and Alice represent the champion of White Queen. Alice wearing a shining armor and holding the Vorpal sword and a triangle horned shield against the Jabberwocky, which has huge wings, long and sharp teeth, a long tail and strong body. At the fight of Alice and Jabberwocky, Alice climbs up a tower and jumps down to Jabberwocky’s neck. Jabberwocky is a huge dragon and his neck is very long; he throws Alice up high then she lifts the sword up and cuts Jabberwocky’s head off. The Red Queen is shocked and all the soldiers stops fighting. The White Queen sends Red Queen to the Outlands and she says “No one is to show you any kindness, or ever speak a word to you.” Then she collects some blood from the Jabberwocky and give it to Alice says “You have our everlasting gratitude. And for your efforts on our behalf.” Alice farewell to everyone she knows in bibs the Wonderland and drink the Jabberwocky blood. She come back to our real world. The first thing she does coming back to real world is to reject the proposal from Hamish, and then she start her plan to finish the behest from her father which is to trade with other countries on in the other side of the planet.

In this shot, I try to tell the sense about Alice falls down the rabbit hole and try to find the key for the door. She’s feeling confused and uncertainty of everything in the room and what is outside of the door, she has never been here before. When we taking this shot, my model was made lots of different facial expressions, but the uncertainty feel is best for this shot. After the shooting, I use Photoshop and Lightroom for editing the colour and detail area to make it better match with the dreamily feeling.
In the second shot, we were in the same spot and shooting the other sense of the narrow potion before Alice went thought the door. Again, she is confused and curious everything happing around her and nothing is ordinary. We tried a few shots of different expression with happy, confused, uncertainty, worried and curious; but the result of all the expressions is confused. In the editing, I still used Photoshop and Lightroom combine together for colour and detail. I did manage and changed the colour in Lightroom then I went to Photoshop for the detailing.
This shot was taking in the garden of The Diggers Club, it is one of the entre to another garden. I decided to build up a dramatic style and connection of the Wonderland. This scene is about Alice’s first time getting into the Wonderland when she need to open the door, everything was unknown and new to her, therefore she was a bit nervous. I have used Photoshop to add fog and tuned the contrast and color to match the theme.
After Alice went through the door and look around the Wonderland, she founded out everything is bigger than her and even the tree are ten times bigger than what she saw outside. I have taken this shot from the ground use a wild angle lens for making the tree looks bigger. I try this form to create a different style for the scene and the outcome looks good to me and very colorful and lively.
This image is taken at Dandenong Ranges National Park, the idea of this photograph is the rose at the Red Queen’s garden. It represents the helpless and unwilling from the deep inside of it, Red Queen forces her servant to paint all the white rose with red varnish. The loneliness and also the dark is cover around it which can well present the feeling I just mention about.
My second idea of the still life project is the maze in the movie and present it in illustration. At the beginning of building this illustration, I have tried out some other ideas such as the falling dress represent Alice and also with the branches. At the end turn out my original idea is much more effective than the other, therefore I have come out with this image.
