As part of a class project, a friend and I conducted research and painted a canvas with an image of a child slave. We had students donate as little as $2 to have their handprint put on the canvas, a symbol to stop human trafficking. We raised over $500, which was donated to the foundation. Several months later my friend and I received an email saying that the money we raised was able to fund a search party to save a boy who was taken. He was later reunited with his family.
