HELLO THERE! I am so glad to welcome you to the Natalie’s Studio family. Here at Natalie’s Studio we pride ourselves in unique photography and a personal experience. No cookie cutters here! We take the time to get to know you and exactly what you are looking for out of your photo session. And we guarantee you’ll love ALL your photos, not just a few! What got me started on this fun and crazy journey…well let me tell you. Real quick, I promise. Having loved and practiced photography since I was 12 I went on to Alfred University to study Art and Education. While there I took a studio lighting class in which we had an open ended final project. I chose to photograph children, with a goal to show off their REAL personality! There I was sitting in the studio with a camera release in my hand faced with a child who I had never met. It was my job to get them to relax and be real! Candies and sour patch kids later (to break the ice) I had them laughing, contemplating life or thinking about their family, dog or cat. I have worked with kids since I was young and just love their innocence and capturing that realness at that time in their life, it sparked something meaningful in me. The project was the catalyst of what was later to become Natalie’s Studio.

COOL AND CALM Kids are best in the morning when they’re at their happiest. Well rested and fed, a calm, fun energy should make for the perfect shoot time for kids and siblings. Lunch, nap times and evenings are generally more complicated times for the optimal portraits, since young ones are often both hungry and tired at this time.
GET THE LOOK Decide before the shoot what look you’re going for. Where in your home will your portraits be displayed? If in a more formal room, be sure everyone’s clothing is coordinated to this look. If the room is less formal and more “family” keep this in mind as well. Furnishings from desired rooms can also be used if the shoot is in-home, guaranteeing a perfect match to your decor.
HAIR AWARE Get haircuts at least a week before the shoot. It might take a few days to grow into (or fond of) a hair cut, especially if the scissors went amiss. This buffer allows for some growth, tweaks and perfections to the hair style prior to your session
CAN’T BUY ME LOVE Build up the session to children as it really is—a time for fun and togetherness. There’s no need for bribes when the event itself is the reward.
CHILL PILL Calm your own lens nerves. Relaxed parents have more fun, which helps kids become most comfortable for the best shots.
TIPS & TRICKS, HAPPY PHOTOS!
PETS ALLOWED If you bring your pet Sparky to the family shoot, make sure to get some brisk exercise with your pup before coming. This will allow for a (hopefully) slightly calmer canine during your shoot. And consider asking a friend to come help or take Sparky home after his photo debut.

Basic Sessions Basic sessions are 1 or 2 hours in length and are offered as in studio, on location or both. Typically there is time for 1-2 outfits. Basic sessions are offered during regular business hours. (For a basic session on the weekend there will be a $50 weekend fee, however VIP sessions are available on weekends.) After you invest in your session you are invited back to the studio to choose any prints and products at your photo reveal. Additional time can be added to any basic session for $75 an hour.

HEIRLOOM SESSIONS Like branches we all grow in different directions, but our roots remain as one.
These sessions are for those looking to photograph large groups or multiple families and create a keepsake to enjoy and pass on to future generations. We have outlined some sessions to give you an idea of the options we offer. These sessions work best on case by case basis; we would be happy to help you create a family portrait of all of your generations.
VIP HEIRLOOM SESSIONS
OVERVIEW

Then we can create the perfect session for y o u a n d y o u r w h o l e f a m i l y.
CHOICES
The VIP Heirloom session includes a $100 print credit per family unit and your session is free. (see page 6 for all VIP p e r k s . ) Yo u c a n s p l i t t h a t c r e d i t o r s h a r e i t . T h e re i s a 4 f a m i l y m i n i m u m . (A family unit is typically a group that lives under the same roof. But chat with us and we can help you figure that out.)
BEST USE

When multiple families each want a little s o m e t h i n g f r o m t h e p h o t o s h o o t . R e m e m b e r, each family can choose a different print or product depending on their style. A photo reveal will be organized for each family unit. And if families are out of town we can arrange to do a virtual photo reveal for them.
Basic Heirloom Sessions
Basic Heirloom sessions are either hourly or chosen from the 3 options below. You invest in your session and then come to the studio for a photo reveal to purchase your prints and products. Basic sessions are offered during regular business hours. ( F o r a b a s i c s e s s i o n o n t h e w e e k e n d t h e r e will be a $50 weekend, fee however VIP sessions a r e a v a i l a b l e o n t h e w e e k e n d . ) Additional time
can be added to any basic session for $75 an hour. COMPOSITE IN-STUDIO
Each family member is photographed on a plain background, then digitally composited to create any combination you would like. And because each member is photographed separately the photos can be taken at different times. So if family is town at different times we can still have a family photo with everyone in it. Typically this session is $10 a person with a 10 person minimum. (But for large groups or those who want to combine session styles we are happy to work with you.)
IN-STUDIO
Get that traditional classic look. This session works well for family groups of 15 or less. Sessions are 1 hour in length and we can photograph multiple family combinations. It is recommended to coordinate one outfit for this type of session. In-Studio sessions are $75.
ON LOCATION
Pick your favorite spot and make it personal. We will come to your location and photograph your family and various combinations of the families together. You are welcome to have as many members as you can fit at your location. Sessions are 1 hour in length but extra time can be added if needed. It is recommended to coordinate one outfit for this type of session and to choose a rain location if you are planning on the session being outside. On location sessions are $95 for a 1 hour session and $170 for a 2 hour session.
HOURLY
If you would like family photos taken at a specific event such as a family reunion or special birthday party. This session is $75 an hour with a minimum of 2 hours.

DAPPER DARLINGS Clothing choices make a session that much better, so picking the perfect pinafore or pant suit is a detail that shouldn’t go unchecked. Here are some ideas to help busy parents determine the best duds for them and their darlings.
BOUNCING BABIES: • Soft or light solids, looks good on skin • Simple styles like onesies are classic • Diaper cover only • Birthday suit (naked)
TIP:
Bring a change of clothes in case of a spill, thrill or chill

Our studio carries a variety of fine frame options to complement your art and decor. 2) If you don’t have a lot of wall space we recommend our high quality albums.
