February 28: Board your motorcoach and head south along the scenic Turnagain Arm to Seward, visiting the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and Alaska SeaLife Center. Return to Girdwood, where you will stay for two nights at the Hotel Alyeska. (B, L) February 29: Spend the day at leisure and take advantage of optional tours and amenities at the resort. Enjoy an included tram ride offering spectacular views of the valley. (B) March 1: Depart Alyeska and return to Anchorage for the next three nights. You’ll tour the city and visit the Alaska Zoo for a “behind the scenes” experience. During your leisure time you may want to visit the Anchorage Museum. Tonight, enjoy Iditarod festivities and dinner at the Mushers’ Banquet! (B, D) March 2: Today you’ll meet four-time Iditarod Champion, Martin Buser, at his Happy Trails Kennel. Hear personal stories while viewing a glimpse of the grandeur Alaska has to offer along the Iditarod trail. Return to Anchorage to visit the Iditarod Headquarters and see first-hand a replica Iditarod Trail station. (B) March 3:
Your day will begin at the start of the Iditarod. Cheer on mushers from all over the world, take part in other Iditarod festivities in Anchorage, and enjoy a cultural visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Tonight, reminisce over your Alaska winter adventure at a farewell dinner. (B, D)

DAY 1: Arrive in Anchorage and transfer to your hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 2: I n the morning, board the world-famous Alaska Railroad to Denali National Park. Try to catch a glimpse of the majestic Mount McKinley or a black bear along the banks of the Susitna River. Overnight in Denali. (B)
DAY 2: T ravel by motorcoach to Valdez, known as “Alaska’s Little Switzerland”; drive through the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and stop by Worthington Glacier along the way. Arrive in Valdez by early evening, for your two-night stay. (B, D) DAY 3: S pend the morning exploring Valdez and the Valdez Museum. This afternoon, board a glacier and wildlife cruise and travel through the majestic Prince William Sound. Experience the three-mile face of the mighty Columbia Glacier and hear tales of the region as told by the Alaskan crew. Throughout the cruise, keep your eyes out for seals, sea lions, otters, whales and puffins. (B, L) DAY 4: J ourney north by motorcoach to Fairbanks, where you’ll spend the next two nights. The route takes you along the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. (B)
Day 3: E xperience a six- to eight-hour narrated Tundra Wilderness Tour, and search the vast wilderness for bear, moose, caribou and Dall sheep. Early May and September tours are shortened due to road conditions. (B, S) Day 4: Travel the Parks Highway and enjoy a guided tour on your way to Anchorage, where you’ll stay for two nights. Along the route, watch for wildlife, and view heavy birch forests and the spectacular Knik and Matanuska Rivers. (B) Day 5: E njoy a brief city tour of Anchorage with a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Tonight, feast on an Alaskan-style dinner and share tales from the road with your traveling companions. (B, D) Day 6: Travel south by motorcoach along the scenic Turnagain Arm to Seward. A visit to the Alaska SeaLife Center is included. Overnight in Seward. (B) Day 7: C ruise into Kenai Fjords National Park, keeping an eye out for whales, sea otters, sea lions, puffins and much more. In the evening, travel north to Girdwood, and ride the tram to the top of Mount Alyeska for beautiful views of Turnagain Arm. Overnight in Girdwood.
