The objetive of Alameda del Rio is to develop the growth area of Barranquilla city. The project started in 2010 and is currently under construction. It was possible to participate in 4 stages of this process: planning, urban design, public space and housing design.

DIAGNOSIS The project consists of the renovation of an old industrial area of Barranquilla where the most important heavy industries of the country are currently located. This project is part of a series of interventions led by the city government and private companies interested in working on the development of the city.

URBAN MODEL

Creation of 4 super blocks, plus a metropolitan commercial space and outdoor recreational activities on the linear park of the Magdalena River. These are some of the benefits with which the project seeks to create a city.

CONCEPT - URBAN NETWORKING The master plan for the re-ordening of Bogota river establishes guidelines for the recovery and development of the western edge of Bogota in the towns of Bosa and Kennedy through urban strategies such as the prioritization of the landscape and the renovation of the built edge.

DIAGNOSIS Historical center of Cartagena is an uncosolidated area with a low index of public space per habitant, failure in the network of public and private facilities, and mobility problems due to the confluence of vehicular and pedestrian flows. The study area is delimited by the historical wall, the Fernandez de Madrid public park and low central towns. CONCEPT

Connectivity is an attribute that develops in the existence of bond between objects and functions that relate. The physical representation on this concept is an structure conformed by a net of corridors that mobilize assets, services, information and people between different points in the territory.


URBAN MODEL

The project’s main goal is to eliminate the intermediary between the producer and the buyer of food that comes from outside the city. An exchange platform that is used for trading, teaching and form community.
