Supplies: Dk weight yarn (I used Plymouth Dreambaby) in peach and cream Size H crochet hook
Skirty Diaper Cover (0-3 months): With cream yarn and size H hook, ch 48. Being careful not to twist ch, join with slst in first ch. Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as hdc now and throughout), hdc in each ch around. Join with slst to first hdc. (48 hdc) Round 2 (eyelet round): Ch 1, sc in same stitch, ch 1, skip next stitch, *sc in next stitch, ch 1, skip next stitch. Repeat from * around. Join with slst to first sc. (24 ch1 spaces) Round 3: Ch 2, hdc in next ch1 space, *hdc in next sc, hdc in next ch1 space. Repeat from * around. Join with slst to first hdc. (48 hdc) Rounds 4-6: Ch 2, hdc in next stitch and each stitch around. Join with slst to first hdc. (48 hdc) Round 7: This row is worked in back loops of round 6 only, ch 2, hdc in next stitch and each stitch around. Join with slst to first hdc. (48 hdc) Rounds 8-9: Ch 2, hdc in next stitch and each stitch around. Join with slst to first hdc. (48 hdc) Row 10: Ch 2, hdc in next 15 hdc. (16 hdc) Row 11: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 15 hdc. Row 15: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next 11 sts. (12 hdc) Row 16: Ch 2, turn, hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in next 6 hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, hdc in last 2 hdc. Skip 8 stitches on last round of skirt body, *insert hook through next stitch of flap and next stitch of skirt body, grap a loop and pull through loop on hook. Repeat from * for next 15 stitches. Do not finish off. Round 20: Ch 1, evenly space scs around leg opening of diaper cover. Finish off. Round 21: Evenly space scs around opposite leg opening of diaper cover. Finish off.
Skirt: Round 1: Working in free front loops of round 7, join with sc in any stitch. Sc in next stitch and each stitch around. Join with slst to first sc. (48 sc) Round 2: Ch 2, hdc in same stitch, 2 hdc in next sc and each stitch around. Join with slst to first hdc. (96 hdc) Round 3: Ch 2, hdc in same stitch, 2 hdc in next hdc and each stitch around. Join with slst to first hdc. (192 hdc) Rounds 4-6: Ch 2, hdc in next stitch and each stitch around. Join with slst to first hdc. Round 7: With contrasting color, ch 1, sc in next stitch and each stitch around. Join with slst to first sc. Finish off.
Waist tie: Row 1: With contrasting color, ch 91, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Finish off. Weave through eyelet round of diaper cover and finish with a bow.

Optional Headband: Cut a length of ¼” elastic one inch smaller than baby’s head circumference. Overlap the ends together (being careful not to twist the elastic) and tack in place to form a loop. Sc all the way around – approximately 5 stitches to the inch.
Flower: With contrasting color, ch 4, join with slst in first ch to form loop. Round 1: Ch 1, 14 sc in loop. Join with slst to first sc. Round 2: Ch 1, sc in next sc, *ch 4, work (yo, insert hook in 4 th ch from hook, draw up a loop) 9 times, yo, and draw through all loops on hook, ch 1. Repeat from *around. Join with slst to first sc. Finish off. Arrange petal clusters into a mound and attach to headband.
