ナス・リー a series of photos exploring the expression of personality thorought the use of clothing, specifically streetwear clothing

Throughout this powerpoint you will see a small varitety of models being used, all interested in streetwear and where it comes from# Streetwear is a style of casual clothing which became global in the 1990s. It grew from California surf skate culture and New York hip hop fashion to encompass elements of sportswear, punk and Japanese street fashion. I am particularly interested in street wear fashion as I really enjoy the style and the alternative vibe that it has, for example, sticking out from the crowd but in a cool way.

NINJ 4082 Streetwear style is generally accepted to have been born out of the Los Angeles surf culture and New York City hip hop culture of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Early streetwear in the 1970s and 1980s also took inspiration from the DIY aesthetic of punk, new wave, heavy metal and hip hop, co-opting established legacy sportswear and workwear fashion brands such as Schott NYC, Dr. Martens, Kangol, Fila and Adidas. In the late 1980s, surfboard designer Shawn Stussy began selling printed T-shirts featuring the same trademark signature he placed on his custom surfboards. Initially selling the items from his own car, Stussy expanded sales to boutiques once popularity increased. Then as sales peaked, Stüssy moved into exclusive sales to create product scarcity, which firmed up the ultimate baseline definition of streetwear: T-shirts and exclusivity." In the early 1990s, burgeoning record labels associated with popular hip hop acts like Tommy Boy Records, Def Jam Recordings, and Delicious Vinyl began selling branded merchandise embroidered onto letterman jackets and workwear jackets made by companies like Carhartt In the mid 1990s, influences included skateboarding and gangster rap. Professional American sports franchises having a big impact on the scene, especially the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Raiders and Chicago Bulls caps and jackets, with their production of oversized team jerseys, as well as boots from The Timberland Company and the latest shoe design releases from Nike, Inc..

Street fashion is fashion that is considered to have emerged not from studios, but from the grassroots streetwear. Street fashion is generally associated with youth culture, and is most often seen in major urban centres. Magazines and Newspapers like the New York Times and Elle commonly feature candid photographs of individuals wearing urban, stylish clothing.[Japanese street fashion sustains multiple simultaneous highly diverse fashion movements at any given time. Mainstream fashion often appropriates street fashion trends as influences. Most major youth subcultures have had an associated street fashion.

The ocean's orbital waves get their start when wind blows on the open ocean. A gentle wind doesn't have much of an affect - it makes ripples in the water that spread the same way ripples do in a pond or a fish tank. But the stronger the wind becomes, the more it pushes against the water. It transfers energy to the water as it makes peaks and white caps in the water's surface. This region of white caps is chaotic, and the water can move choppily in random directions. The churning peaks give the wind more surface area to grab on to, which lets the wind force the water into even higher caps. The height and shape of the white caps comes from three primary factors: How long the wind blew over the water How hard it blew The surface area of the ocean that the wind affected, or the fetch A very hard wind blowing for a long time over a large expanse of ocean will lead to large, frothy white caps. These eventually become large waves, which is why surf conditions are often good after a storm at sea. Satellite data used to track surface winds from outer space has helped forecasters predict where the surf will be high based on oceanic weather patterns.

Oxford dictionary defines identity as follows; the fact of being who or what a person or thing is and the characteristics determining who or what a person or thing is. And Calhoun writes: “We know of no people without names, no languages or cultures in which some manner of distinctions between self and other, we and they, are not made...Self-knowledge –always a construction no matter how much it feels like a discovery –is never altogether separable from claims to be known in specific ways by others” (1994,p. 9-10).As Castells says that from a sociological perspective, all identities are constructed. And he argued that “the construction of identities uses building materials from history, from geography, from biology, from productive and reproductive institutions, from collective memory and from personal fantasies, from power apparatuses and religious revelations”(2010, p. 7).In simple way of explanation of identity “identity is the answer or answers that individual gives for the question 'who I am' or the answer to the question asked by the community ‘who are you, where do you come from’ (Güvenç, 1996, p. 3). The identity has two main platforms. First one of them is about personal and the second one is about social and community.Personal identity can be defined as having a clear and stable image of a person's goals, descriptions and abilities. But social identity is mostly about an individual who feels belonging him/herself in a group or a part of a group. According to Social Identity Theory, people tend to classify themselves and others into various social categories, such as organizational membership, religious affiliation, gender, and age cohort (Tajfel veTurner, 1985).Psychodynamically, according to Freud, an identification process occurs as the identity begins with the individualexpropriating or involving foreign persons or objects (Aşkın,2007). Both sociologically and psychologically, identity takes part in,

Beige is variously described as a pale sandy fawn color, a grayish tan. a light-grayish yellowish brown, or a pale to grayish yellow. It takes its name from French, where the word originally meant natural wool that has been neither bleached nor dyed, hence also the color of natural wool. It has come to be used to describe a variety of light tints chosen for their neutral or pale warm appearance.

ベンと一緒に故郷で撮影 The name Ben is a boy's name of Hebrew origin meaning "son of". Ben, the diminutive of Benjamin or Benedict, can easily stand on its own as a simple, strong, nice-guy choice, though it's somewhat attenuated.

Side lighting is light that falls on a subject at roughly ninety degrees to the camera. This means that one side of a subject will be lit and the other side will be in shadow. In terms of helping to convey a subject’s shape and form this is ideal. Of the three directions, side lighting creates the strongest sense that a subject has three dimensions. There’s always a catch however. The catch in this instance is contrast. Side lighting doesn’t evenly illuminate your subject.
