Natalia Cebollero
“...the worthiest works often reflect an artful creativity that looks more like play than work -James Ogilvy The selection of works presented within, explain one of the hardest and most important achievements in my life. With a compilation of my works, I will aspire to differentiate, and explore endless possibilities , this through the limitless continuum of the world of what we know as architecture.

Urban Anticipations Aguadilla , Puerto Rico
Over the years, many cities have been developed. Here, public spaces such as urban parks have been created to function as catalyst for metropolitan growth. Sometimes, these spaces were designed anticipating the cities expansion, in occasions resulting as underutilized sites. The urban park, outside the consolidated area, was thought out with the idea that it would propel the city’s future development. The planning of such place could be understood as part of a grid that anticipated densification. In the case of Columbus Park in Aguadilla, when studying the historical architectural plans by Bennett and Parsons, one can prove the opposite, the idea lacks the attempt to densify the area, and consolidate the urban space to the city of Aguadilla. It seemed this place was characterized as a separate site, a park on the periphery with no evident intention of being unified with the existing metropolitan area. Gilles Clement, in his theory of the Third Landscape, describes these peripheral areas as refugees for diversity, made up by the sum total of abandoned lots, preserves, and primary old growth sites. Understanding Columbus Park as a third landscape by using the theory of Clement, this project is based on the argument that asks: how can architecture, at an urban level, complement a pre-existing type that during its application was developed halfway, and restructure it now for a better use of itself and its surrounding context?

The program that will attend the problem relating to these urban anticipations, proposes the restructuring of Columbus Park in Aguadilla. The design will include housing and support facility dwellings, that will help impulse the growth around the designated area. 3D analysis of park.

Beach Row Housing Carolina, Puerto Rico
Beach Row Housing is a family and vacational complex located in one of Puerto Rico’s beaches. One of the importances of the complex is its connection with nature. The parking lot is located underground, and all the units are connected by a series of plazas, that will eventually lead you to the northern part of the proyect, where you can find a boardwalk, which will light up during the evenings with nightlife and its unique kiosks.

Custo Barcelona Store
San Juan, Puerto Rico
When studying typologies, the model of the “hallway” beauty parlor model was chosen to create a pattern which would later guide me to create the design of the upcoming project. Consequently, a store for the spanish designer Custo Barcelona was designed in the Condado area of San Juan Puerto Rico. Using the pattern created from the beauty parlors, the facade and floor plans of the store were composed. The circulation consists of display rooms located throughout the five levels of the store. Besides showrooms, there is a private atelier for the designer as well as his office.

Ciutat Meridiana Barcelona, Spain
“Ciudad Meridiana” was developed to accommodate the boom of immigrants coming to Barcelona during the 1960s. It houses one of the greatest memories of what were the Roman structures in Barcelona, a nineteenth- century aqueduct that runs from Barbera del Valles to Nou Barris. The aqueduct stopped working about ten years ago and today holds no purpose, there-fore its actual state is abandoned and vandalized. “Ciudad Meridiana” has had problems maintaining certain elements operating, along time, such as their soccer field, swimming pool and the aqueduct itself. In the proposal, the aqueduct will be used as a runway and its adjacent areas will be rehabilitated with programs that existed at some point in “Ciudad Meridiana” and other new activities to improve it. The urbanistic plan for Ciutat Meridiana consist on creating a union between both historic elements of the town, the Northern and Southern roman acueducts. By doing this, the “ditch” created in the mountain will shelter commercial and recreational spaces. With a new telesferic system, transportation will be provided to the Collserolla Cementary and the National Park that surrounds the city.

AIAS PR Recycle Fashion Show
The Recyclable Fashion Show was an AIAS activity, where architecture students had to construct a fashionable outfilt out of recycled materials. On this attire, materials such as bubble wrap, beer bottle caps, and fishing string were used. The outfit was composed of three pieces: a sleeveless blouse with a high neck, a short skirt and a head piece which is placed across the models eyes, giving it a more “avant-garde” look.
