30th Annual Source Book
Welcome to the 30th Annual Source Book! It is hard to believe that this is the 30th Annual Source Book. It is our sincere hope that you will use this important reference guide for your sources of supply for the next year. We have made every effort to insure that each listing is accurate and complete. The Manufacturers’ Listings begin on page 10. Companies are listed in alphabetical order. Each listing includes the company name, address, phone, fax and toll free numbers, email and web addresses, the name of the president, the name of the national sales manager and the year the company was established. This listing also includes information about distribution, any minimum order restrictions and if the company offers an equipment program with products. Following the Manufacturers’ Listings, beginning on page 13, is the Trade and Brand Names section. Sometimes a company is better known for its trade or brand name than its company name. Trade and brand names are listed alphabetically, followed by the company that owns the name. On page 14, you will find the Products Listings. Products are listed in alphabetical order and companies that manufacture the product are listed under each category. For example, if you are looking for “soft serve mix”, look under that category and you will find a list of companies that make soft serve mix. Refer to the Manufacturers’ Listings beginning on page 10 for more information about the companies. Following the product section, you will find a list of manufacturers with numbers in front of each company. These numbers correspond to the numbers at the end of the distributors’ listings. They tell you what manufacturer’s products the distributor carries. The Distributor Listings begin on page 24. Distributors are listed in the state in which they are located. If the company services other states with 4
salespeople, the distributor’s name is listed in that state as well, followed by the abbreviation for the state in which the company is located. Refer to that state for more information about the company. Distributor Listings include the company name, address, phone, fax and toll free numbers, e-mail and web addresses, the names of the president and sales manager and the year the company was established. The listing also tells you if the distributor accepts credit cards, the method of payment accepted (cash & carry, open account or COD only), if the company has a showroom, if the company offers free delivery, or if there is a minimum order for free delivery. These listings also tell you if the company offers specials on a regular basis and the type of products distributed (food, frozen food, paper, equipment). After this information, the manufacturer numbers are listed, telling you what lines the company carries. Refer to pages 22 and 23 to find the name of the manufacturer. Companies that are listed entirely in bold face type have placed a display ad in this issue. Please refer to the page number at the end of the listings or the Advertisers’ Index on page 30 to locate the ad. Be sure to tell our advertisers you saw their ad first in The National Dipper Magazine. If your company is not listed in this Source Book and you want to be listed next year, call or e-mail me and I will include you in the E-mail for the questionnaire. All you have to do is fill out the questionnaire and return it by the deadline. You must fill out a questionnaire every year to be listed in the Source Book. We do not use information from the previous Source Book. Thanks to all who took the time to fill out the questionnaire. You helped make this a truly valuable directory.
