DAYS 1–2 I FRESNO, CALIFORNIA/ YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK Arrive in Fresno and transfer to your hotel. Drive to Yosemite National Park the next morning and get an introduction to the park’s geology on hikes with your private guide. Then settle into your Victorian-style lodge within the park. Best Western Plus Fresno Airport; Wawona Hotel Meals: 1B, 1L, 1D DAY 3 I MARIPOSA GROVE Spend the day in Mariposa Grove, wandering among some 500 giant sequoias—possibly the world’s largest living organisms by volume. Choose from a variety of trails that showcase these majestic trees, which can grow to more than 200 feet tall. Wawona Hotel | Meals: 1B, 1L

DAYS 4–7 I YOSEMITE VALLEY/FRESNO Travel north to Yosemite Valley, and take in views of El Capitan and Half Dome on spectacular hikes. Learn about the legacy of naturalist John Muir and visit some of his favorite haunts. The next day, traverse Tioga Pass Road to explore Tuolumne Meadows, Mono Lake, and Olmsted Point. Or head to Hetch Hetchy Valley for a hike to Wapama Falls, and learn about ongoing work to restore the once-submerged valley. Enjoy a final morning of hiking and wildlife spotting in Yosemite Valley. Stop in at the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center and the Ansel Adams Gallery; and cap off the day with a private tour and dinner at the celebrated Ahwahnee hotel, a National Historic Landmark.
