DAYS 1–6 I U.S./BERGEN, NORWAY/ EXPLORING THE NORWEGIAN FJORDS Fly overnight to Bergen, and take a guided walk in Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Board the ship and sail into the fjordlands, exploring Nordfjorden, the turquoise lake of Lodalen Valley, and Kjenndal Glacier. Cruise past vertical cliffs in a Zodiac, kayak to waterfalls, and take naturalist-led hikes. National Geographic Endurance or National Geographic Resolution through Day 16 Meals: 4B, 4L, 5D DAYS 7–10 I LOFOTEN ISLANDS/ TYSFJORDEN/TROMSØ/BJØRNØYA (BEAR ISLAND) Discover the magical Lofoten Archipelago by Zodiac, on the lookout for otters, moose, and huge concentrations of seabirds. Visit the island of Værøy, and cruise into the legendary Trollfjorden. Follow Tysfjorden past tiny villages and hike the valley of Hellemobotn. In Tromsø, the “gateway to the Arctic,” learn about Arctic settlers at the Polar Museum. Venture to the high Arctic, stopping on Bjørnøya discover sea caves, inlets, and tens of thousands of seabirds by Zodiac. Meals: 4B, 4L, 4D

DAYS 11–17 I SVALBARD/LONGYEARBYEN/ OSLO Venture to the ice floes and islands of Norway’s Svalbard Archipelago in search of walruses, bearded and ringed seals, arctic foxes, reindeer, and polar bears. With long daylight hours and a flexible itinerary, we’ll have plenty of opportunities to hike the tundra, kayak among icebergs, and cruise Zodiacs up close to tidewater glaciers. Disembark in Longyearbyen and visit the Svalbard Gallery and Svalbard Museum. Fly by charter to Oslo and check in to our hotel. Depart the next morning.
