DAYS 1–2 I VANCOUVER, CANADA/KAMLOOPS Explore the nature trails of Vancouver’s Stanley Park and take in views of the city’s skyline and Vancouver Harbour from the famous seawall. The next day, board the Rocky Mountaineer and enjoy breathtaking views en route to Kamloops. Wedgewood Hotel and Spa; Delta Hotels by Marriott Kamloops or Sandman Signature Kamloops Hotel | Meals: 1B, 1L, 1D DAYS 3–5 I JASPER NATIONAL PARK Journey into the Rockies, passing Pyramid Creek Falls and crossing the Continental Divide at Yellowhead Pass. Glide by Mount Robson, the tallest summit in the Canadian Rockies. Disembark in Jasper and continue to our lakeside lodge in Jasper National Park. Enjoy a scenic cruise on Maligne Lake, on the lookout for moose, elk, and caribou. The next day, enjoy a float trip along the Athabasca River, or ride the Jasper SkyTram to a lookout point. DAYS 6–8 I ATHABASCA GLACIER/BANFF NATIONAL PARK/YOHO NATIONAL PARK/ CALGARY Travel along the Icefields Parkway toward Banff National Park, stopping at the Athabasca Glacier for a guided trek atop the ice. Settle into our historic hotel on the shores of Lake Louise, and explore Banff and Yoho National Parks on a series of hikes. Discover Moraine Lake and Emerald Lake, and view the Spiral Tunnels of the Canadian Pacific Railway. At the Yoho National Park Visitor Centre, learn about the Burgess Shale, one of the most important fossil deposits ever discovered. Fairmont Château Lake Louise | Meals: 3B, 2L, 1D

He has published numerous maps and articles on the geology of the American Southwest, and conducted fieldwork on a National Geographicfunded project.
