THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC DIFFERENCE
EXPERTISE IMMERSION
Humankind has always had an insatiable curiosity about the world—and an equally insatiable appetite for adventure. For more than 135 years, the National Geographic Society has met these needs by sending explorers down to the depths of the ocean floor, up the peaks of the highest mountains, and everywhere in between. That’s the legacy that National Geographic Expeditions is built on. When you travel with us, you get to know the places, people and cultures you encounter in ways that will both transform and inspire you. Because every step of the way, experts and guides—many of whom live and work in the destinations we visit—use their knowledge to forge a stronger connection with, and develop a deeper understanding of, our world and each other.
When we say you’ll be immersed in the locations you visit, we mean exactly that. National Geographic is a name synonymous with behind-the-scenes and upclose experiences that introduce you to fascinating corners of the world—some of which you may never have even known existed. We have built a global reputation for conservation and education that is at the heart of everything we do. So, whether you’re interacting with monks in a hilltop monastery, or trekking through a rainforest in search of rare wildlife, you know that you’ll enjoy unprecedented access to extraordinary experiences everywhere you go. And because every detail of your journey—both big and small—are taken care of, you can focus on what it is you came to do: explore and learn.
MEANING
It’s not only those who travel on a National Geographic Expedition who are enriched by the experience. Your purchase also has another, equally valuable, purpose. Every purchase helps support the U.S.-based global nonprofit National Geographic Society, which works to protect and illuminate our world through exploration, research, and education. Through grants and impact investments, the National Geographic Society supports an international community of Explorers that includes leading scientists, educators, storytellers, conservationists, technologists, and many other who are leading bold, innovative, and transformative projects in the areas of Ocean, Land, Wildlife, History & Culture, and Human Ingenuity.
