DAY 1 I LORETO, MEXICO/SAN CARLOS Arrive in Loreto and transfer to San Carlos to embark your ship. National Geographic Sea Bird for the entire voyage I Meals: 1D

DAYS 2–4 I ISLA MAGDALENA/HULL CANAL/ MAGDALENA BAY Go ashore to explore the ever-shifting sand dunes of Isla Magdalena. After lunch, watch for wildlife with our naturalists as we navigate the narrow Canal de Soledad (Hull Canal). Glide into the glassy waters of Magdalena Bay, a haven for California gray whales and their newborn calves. Spend two days exploring the bay by Zodiac. With luck, we’ll witness mother whales teaching their calves to breathe, breach, and dive right beside us. Then transit south, stopping along the way to explore the vast mangrove forest system by kayak and Zodiac. Meals: 3B, 3L, 3D

DAY 5 I LAS ALMEJAS/CANAL DE REHUSA Greet the sun as it rises over Las Almejas, the southernmost part of Magdalena Bay. Visit a large frigatebird colony on Isla Santa Margarita, then head further offshore to seek out more gray whales, which tend to be particularly active in this area. Navigate into Canal de Rehusa to spot whales coming and going between the bay and the Pacific Ocean. Meals: 1B, 1L, 1D

DAY 6 I SAN CARLOS/LORETO Disembark in San Carlos this morning and transfer to Loreto to connect with your flight home. Meals: 1B
