DAYS 1–5 I U.S./ REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND/ KANGERLUSSUAQ, GREENLAND/ KANGAAMUIT AND EVIGHED FJORD/NUUK Fly overnight to Iceland and tour hot springs and a power plant before settling into your Reykjavík hotel. The next day, fly by charter to Kangerlussuaq, and sail to Evighed Fjord. Discover the glacier-edged fjord by Zodiac and visit the fishing community of Kangaamiut. DAYS 6–9 I AT SEA/QAQORTOQ/ NANORTALIK/SOUTHEASTERN GREENLAND Venture to Brattahlíð, where Erik the Red established his farm in A.D. 982. See a replica of his longhouse, then discover Norse and Inuit ruins at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kujataa. In Qaqortoq, see Greenlandic artifacts and sample local cuisine. Watch a folk performance in Nanortalik and learn how traditional kayaks are built. Spend a day discovering the marine life and geology of the fjords of the southeastern coast. DAYS 10–12 I DENMARK STRAIT/ SNAEFELLSNES PENINSULA AND REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND/U.S. Cross the Denmark Strait to Iceland, enjoying talks by our experts and the ship's many amenities, including a glass igloo with incredible views. Make landfall on the mystical Snaefellsnes Peninsula, go on a hike and admire breathtaking views of Kirkjufell’s iconic peak. Disembark in Reykjavík to catch your flight home. Meals: 3B, 2L, 2D
