Letter from the editor In May we get to celebrate and honor our mothers, grandmothers, sisters and anyone that is close to our hearts. We look for the perfect gift to show our love for them. I love the month of May all the flowers are in full bloom the weather starts to warm up the days are a little bit longer and the fresh smell in the air. The Coachella spring music festival is a must go to music event if you’re a part time music lover hipster or full time party animal. On April 12-14 2013, the biggest indie, rock, alternative, and electronic artist performed on multiple stages in Indio, California. Headlining the weekend: The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, Blur, and the Stone Roses. The weekend promised music for all ages and genres from noon to midnight. Inside the Coachella camp includes 5 outdoor stages with a main stage and EDM Tent.

Coachella The EDM stage design is identical to one used at Ultra this year in Florida. While between acts you can enjoy great grub with LA based food trucks, beer gardens, and a hidden red bull speak easy bar. Larger then life art offers shelter from the sun and place to take a break from the live atmosphere. Illuminated palm trees that are saturated in LED colors surround the grounds. Don’t forget your shades. Sunglasses offer protection from the dust, sun, and allow for great incognito people watching.
Coachella attendees are in some of their finest spring casual. From funky hairstyles, flower bands in hair, half dressed, and just weird you might even see a banana walking around. Phoenix took the stage to close out Saturday night playing songs from their new cd Bankrupt! "This is the biggest crowd we've ever played for," Mars from Phoenix told the crowd. The main stage was packed while everyone was waiting for the big surprised act. Rumors were crazy all weekend that Daft Punk would be joining Phoenix. Halfway through the special guest came out and it wasn’t what anyone was expecting. R. Kelly joined Phoenix to play a live mash up version of 1901 and Ignition. The crowd went nuts. Although it wasn’t Daft Punk, it was excellent. Some other highlights of the festival weekend were Vampire Weekend, Of Monsters and Men, The Faint, Tegan and Sara, and The Postal Service. Dog blood, a side project of Skrillex and Boys Noize got the beats flowing and the crowd dancing in the Sahara Tent. Having this been my first year attending and I can see Coachella becoming my annual music festival. With this year already over tickets go on pre-sale next month. In The Spotlight Proving himself among his peers with natural charisma and comic adeptness, Jean-Luc Bilodeau has become an emerging young talent. Ben inevitably decides to raise the baby with the help of his friends and family. The series is written by writer/producer, Daniel Berendsen best known for the blockbuster theatrical film release, Hannah Montana: The Movie and television series “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch” and ABC Family’s “The Nine Lives of Chloe King. He can remember making his family laugh to tears at the dinner table
Jean-Luc is best known for his role on the long running ABC Family sci-fi drama series “Kyle XY”, where he played Kyle’s smug but charmingly handsome bad boy brother, ‘Josh Trager.’ Most recently, he was featured in the recurring role of ‘Bret Martin’ on ABC’s “No Ordinary Family” starring Emmy winner Michael Chiklis, playing the love interest to Kay Panabaker’s character. He also starred opposite Debby Ryan in the hit MOW for the Disney Channel “16 Wishes.” Jean-Luc’s film credits include Warner Brothers Pictures’ Trick r Treat produced by Bryan Singer (X-Men, The Usual Suspects). Most recently in summer 2012, he costarred in the motion pictures, LOL opposite Miley Cyrus for Mandate Pictures and Piranha 3DD opposite Ving Rhames and Katrina Bowden for Dimension Films. Jean-Luc and his family knew at an early age that he was destined for show business. He can remember making his family laugh to tears at the dinner table and bringing comic relief to his downtrodden classmates at school. After one serendipitous audition, Jean-Luc was hooked and a serious acting career was in the making.

Do you buy American made? I DO buy American made, especially all my New Balance sneakers. It's important to help promote business strength in this country, and if I have the option, I always buy American made. Do you think that the American dream is still alive? I think everyone has their own version of "The American Dream." For me, “The American Dream” is success and family, whereas for others it may be a Ferrari. “The American Dream” is always alive if people seek to achieve greatness in whatever it is they feel is appropriate. What are 3 things you can not live without? Fast cars, beautiful women, and my family.
Nationalist was excited to get to know Jean-Luc a little better, here is the interview that reaffirmed how much we already liked him. Please tell us a little about yourself. I'm a lot like my dad: very chill, laid back, and not threatened by a good time. My goal in life is to stay happy and healthy— everything in between is a stepping stone. What was it like when you found out season 3 was picked up. The morning of our last day of filming, our executive producer, Dan, invited the entire cast and crew into the studio and told us the season three news. I knew our third season was coming, but I did not see it coming so soon. It's extremely rare to find out that you've been picked up for another season while still shooting the previous season. It's such an amazing feeling! We are so blessed to work with such an awesome group for another year. Before "Baby Daddy" had you ever cared for a baby (held a baby, feed a baby)? My first day on the set of “Baby Daddy” was the first time I'd ever really interacted with a baby. I was pretty nervous, but these kids are so well behaved and it made my job way easier. Now I'm a pro. Give me a baby; I'll know what's up.
What’s on your playlist? “Anything by Rush”.

Are you and "Ben" similar in anyway? Ben and I are very similar. I like to keep me character grounded like me, so we react the same in most situations. He's a good kid with a big heart who stepped up to the plate when needed to. He makes his mistakes and so do I, but we both learn from them equally. What can we look forward to in the 3rd season? We have an amazing season two. The same funny, heart, and playfulness we had in season one, but bigger and better in our number two. There are a range of great guest stars, a boiling love triangle, and of course, the extremely adorable baby Emma. We are very proud of our product this year. I can't wait for everyone to enjoy it. How has your character changed from the first season to the 3rd? Ben is growing up and becoming a more responsible young man and father. He tries to take all the right directions for Emma, and when he makes a mistake, he quickly learns from it. I guess you could say he is still just as funny and youthful, but is always adapting to every step raising a baby has to offer. Are you working on any other projects right now? I'm working on my own project called "Project Summer," as in I'm just trying to enjoy myself in this short offseason. (smile) Hopefully something will come along that will be fun and exciting. The Latest On Reality Moms When I tune in to watch the Duggar’s in action I catch myself saying I wish I had Michelle Duggar’s patience she always seems so calm and in control, you can just feel the love she has for those kids.
With 19 children of their own, two grandchildren, and another grandchild on the way, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar surprisingly say that they are open to the idea of expanding their brood through adoption. “We are praying about it, and we will see what God has in store. Love for children has been placed on our hearts,” Michelle, 45, told People magazine. After suffering a miscarriage in 2011 that resulted in the loss of a little girl they named Jubilee, Michelle and Jim Bob are still thinking of opening their hearts and home to a child in need of a family. Michelle says, “We are open to whatever is in store. It doesn't really matter whether I would have another child or we would adopt, but we want to approach it with an open heart." With 19 other children of their own, adopting might change the family dynamic, but according to Michelle, all the others are on board with the idea of adding another member to their everexpanding clan, telling PEOPLE, “The kids are definitely pushing towards wanting us to open our home up…They see how much we have been blessed with and how little so many children have, and they want to share. We tell our children that would have to be something that is in God’s will for our family, and we will see if it is. Our children love children, and we all do.” The idea of adoption came to them after a recent visit to an orphanage in China. The visit was being filmed for a special airing on TLC called 19 Kids and Counting: Duggars do Asia. The Duggars admit that they have been further influenced by friends of theirs who have adopted, but that they have to make sure that it is something that God wants them to do. “Whether he gives us a child [through pregnancy], there is no doubt in our minds that is what He wants, but when it comes to adoption, we would have to know for sure that was His will.” Whether they decide to have another child or adopt, it is certain that that child will be welcomed with open arms and an open heart. Achieving and keeping a flat abdomen Written by: Arnold Jones We all desire to stay fit and yearly goals that sound achievable. In order to obtain and sustain a flat abdomen it requires a lot of dedication initially. It is repeated over and over in almost every article or book you read about seeing your physician before you start on any type of regiment from a dietary standpoint to physical exercise. This is not because they are the master of knowledge or make your decisions for you. The reason this should be the first step anyone takes is because you should want to know your limitations. When it comes to shrinking your waistline there is a lot involved. It is not just eating correctly or doing hundreds of sit-ups or crunches. There are other muscles that also need to be exercised. There are you lateral muscles, your back muscles and even your hips and thighs. Yes these do all play a part in achieving a flat abdomen. Stay away from sugars , fatty meats (beef, chicken, pork and even some fish), soda’s, energy drinks, etc. All of these listed above and a lot more are indeed unhealthy. However, one does need protein, amino acids, vitamins, electrolytes, etc. These are essential building blocks for when you do exercise; you will need to replace salts, electrolytes, etc. in order to ensure your body is staying healthy.
The Facts:
Stay away from sugars and fatty meats add more lean protein to your diet.
You will need to do calisthenics (jumping jacks, sit-ups, crunches, squats, stretching exercises, exercises that work the different muscles on your sides, etc. None of these requires lifting weights. Although lifting weights, if you do decent mid-line core strength, will help this process be achieved faster. As stated earlier this is why you should speak with your doctor first, so they can advise you as to whether or not you should start with weights. If you do have a gym membership then there are also dieticians and personal trainers there to give you advice and correct exercise form. Form is the most important aspect of achieving core strength and muscle tone as well as eating properly. I personally hate the word diet, because you do not need to go on a diet. They really do not work. You can eat most of the foods you like without worry. Of course you don’t want to over eat either. Vegetables in the raw form are the best. Cooked vegetables are ok as well, you do not get that many nutrients from cooked foods though. You can eat chicken and pork is better than beef. However, you can not eat either of these in the raw form. Salads are a good afternoon meal, protein drinks are ok as long as you read the ingredients and sugar is not very high on the list of ingredients. Sugar is in just about everything. What you do want is good sugars.
Eat smaller meals more times a day, 5 small meals instead of 3 bigger meals. This keeps your body burning calories all day.

Exercising is great for the mental and physical body. Getting a firm abdomen requires quite a lot of effort which can be achieved if you do it properly and start with analyzing your physique. Good sugars come from fruits and veggies. Beets, Corn, kiwi’s, oranges, grapefruits, etc. In regards to protein there are so many options for protein. There is beans, homemade peanut butter, vegetable proteins, etc. As for milk and eggs, Well I can say I truly enjoy both. Both of these have protein in them and they also have a large amount of fat as well. These are great tasting yet they should be eaten with moderation. In regards to exercising, there are many options to choose from. Swimming is a great muscle toner. Swimming works all of the muscles in your body as well. I will list a few different exercises as well. There are jumping jacks, bicycle crunches, Ab rollers, bent knee-hip raises, butt-up exercises, cross-body crunches, side bends, jack-knife sit-ups and a lot more. None of these listed require weights. You should be able to find a ton of Physical Training (PT) exercises. I am not talking about the Navy Seal Work-outs. Most people would be unable to do this day in and day out. It takes a lot of time and requires a great deal of determination to accomplish this. It is a very good exercise program if you are already in shape and eating healthy. Most of us though looking to trim off some pounds around our waist line or want to see a six-pack do not have a strong core strength to achieve
Although once you do obtain great abs then you must also maintain them. So eat properly, exercise several times a week and do what you are physically able to do. Then build from there.
this . There is a lot to consider when truly looking to knock off a few pounds in general let alone attack one of the most difficult areas on our bodies to get into shape. There is eating right, daily or at least 3 times a week worth of exercising, researching about exercises that will help work on our mid-section as a whole. In order to have good abs one must also exercise the lower back and your oblique’s (side muscles) as well. This is a package deal. Don’t set your expectations to low or too high either. Do what you can. So doing it right is important as toned abs will not come overnight nor will they come without some sort of pain. The most important thing though is to do what you can physically (no weights are needed) and within your limits. Start out slowly and the inches will drop if you keep working at it. Remember it is not about immediate results. If you put too much physical strain (shock) on your body as it will shut down and you will only get negative results. In another words instead of losing weight your fat cells will store more fat tissue in them as they think they will be starving. This is very important and a lot of people do not think about this. This is also why diets don’t work. Diets put your body in a state of shock and your body goes into starvation mode. So you may lose weight but one usually gains it all back and probably more. So go slow and take it one step at a time , do your best and soon you will be rocking the body you always wanted.
A personal note; I have gone from a 44 inch waist line to a 42 inch waist line in 4 months. Time and determination is what it takes. My goal is a 38 inch waist line and I am 48 years old. I am getting there, slowly but getting there

Do you buy products that are Made in America? I try to. It's so hard because so much is being outsourced these days. I would much rather spend a ton of money on something made in USA though. I remember one Christmas my mom made it her goal to only buy stuff that was made here. I absolutely adore the cast, the crew, the writers, producers, pretty much everyone. If you were not acting what would you be doing? I used to pretend I was a lawyer when I was little. I'd write out contracts to negotiate. Do you consider yourself more of a girly girl or a tomboy? I'm kind of a mix. I don't like sports, or typical guy stuff. It's obviously important to surround your self with grounded people, like family and friends. I also think starting so young helped. There are so many aspect of the industry : producing, writing, acting, camera, sound, lighting, hair, make up, wardrobe, directing, and acting. Find what you love and work hard.
