The research library is located on the second floor of the National Museum of Racing. Access to the library and its holdings are by appointment only. Readers Up!
We use Museum resources to educate students through equine literature in the comfort of your own classroom. Health, History, and Horses
Designed for 4th grade students to learn about local Saratoga history with a visit to the Oklahoma Training Track, and a showing of the Museum's signature film.

Contemporary and Steeplechase Eligibility Criteria
Thoroughbreds
Thoroughbreds become eligible when five calendar years have elapsed between their final racing year and their year of nomination. Thoroughbreds remain eligible between five and 25 calendar years following their final racing year.
Jockeys
Jockeys become eligible after 20 years as a licensed thoroughbred rider. Jockeys remain eligible until 25 years following their retirement.
Trainers
Trainers become eligible after 25 years as a licensed thoroughbred trainer. Trainers remain eligible until 25 years following their retirement.
Pillars Of The Turf
The Pillars of the Turf category is designed to honor individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to thoroughbred racing in a leadership or pioneering capacity at the highest national level.
Historic Review Eligibility Criteria
Thoroughbreds
Horses must be retired for more than 25 years to become eligible.
April 12, May 10, June 14, August 9, August 17, September 13 and October 11. All tours begin at 10:30 a.m. at the farm.
