She went on to add “We all know intelligent, educated and bright people but they have not created a financially viable business. If you are serious about changing the way you do business in order to seek greater financial freedom then you need to have a new mind set for wealth because your current strategy is either limiting or not working for you during these competitive times.”

Trust only a few Sheila advised the audience that there is no point seeking advice from those around you in jobs or failing entrepreneurs if you are looking to unlock your millionaire mind set. Start putting models in place so the business can operate without you and becomes less resource intensive. It’s important that you monetise your ideas and get selling online. It’s great to make money while you sleep.

Folake says you must not underestimate the value in setting goals and taking action on them consistently.

Outsource parts of the business that are time intensive and are not your field. By leveraging your skills and experience with other talented people, you can build profitable partnerships, collaborations and joint working practices that will bring mutual benefits. “It’s important that you understand your thoughts will either skyrocket your profits or take it down a ditch” continued Ashton. “Don’t stay in the toolkit if it doesn't work. Tools like people change so stop focusing on loss and start to focus on how you can increase your sales with existing and new customers.”

The saying goes “that you are in business to generate cash otherwise, you will find you are just running an expensive hobby!” This statement was supported by Leigh Ashton, the founder of the Sales Consultancy. “You are in business to generate more sales and if you are working hard but not seeing the financial rewards in your business that you desire, then it’s time to stop and review your strategy.”

Stop selling, the more you sell the more they resist. Take the time to understand the mindset of your customers or you won’t be able to connect and building ongoing relationships with them. Listen more so you can understand their challenges and problems rather than jumping in with the shopping list of services you provide.
