Australian Heritage Week April 11-19 Australian Heritage Week is a national celebration of our heritage, a chance to discover and explore our built, cultural and natural heritage. Victoriana: Old fashioned day of play at Beaumont House Take the children back to the Victorian era for a day of old fashioned games and play in the beautiful grounds of Beaumont House. Mary MacKillop’s Adelaide Australia’s first saint, Mary MacKillop, lived in Adelaide for 5 years. Heritage reborn: A tour of Adelaide’s revitalised heritage buildings
An all-day event for heritage and planning professionals, providing a hands-on opportunity for planners to learn what to look for when assessing development applications affecting built heritage. Presented by the State Government Heritage Unit in conjunction with the Local Government Association of SA.
Dig beneath the surface to uncover some of the city’s darker stories. Journey on this street tour into a much darker side of human nature! Murder, tragedy, forgotten executions and bushrangers. Learn about some of the crimes that led the perpetrators to the gallows and stand where some of the events unfolded.

This year we will be introducing some of the city’s famous and less well known monuments with a public talk and guided walk from Simon Cameron’s Silent Witnesses.
