Led a successful effort to enact and implement a new, $400 million Dairy Donation Program for cooperatives to provide dairy products to food-insecure households

Secured a boost in USDA’s alfalfa hay calculation in Dairy Margin Coverage and supplemental payments to reflect modest production growth, increasing disaster assistance to farmers

Led dairy’s discussion of Federal Milk Marketing Order reform by convening co-op leaders to craft updates to milk-pricing policies

Took first steps toward remedying Class I mover losses by working with USDA to generate $350 million in Pandemic Market Volatility Assistance Program disaster assistance

Focused agriculture’s effort to preserve stepped-up basis in the tax code, heading off a potential burden on family farms

Called out Canada for violating the spirit of USMCA, prompting dispute settlement with Canada launched by the U.S. government

Cemented dairy’s workforce as essential critical infrastructure and worked with USDA and FDA to secure high priority for food and agriculture workers in COVID-19 vaccination

Secured a federal pledge to halt harmful, fear-creating onsite farm immigration raids

Kept dairy essential to a healthy diet as defined under the final 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans
